I don't know. I tried to cut some 3" ABS and it got stuck half way through. Too bad they didn't make the mouth 3 1/2" wide instead of 3 1/4".

You can cut even 4 inch pipe, just roll the saw around the pipe as it cuts

Hi Bill, Hope DeWalt will come out with a new version (brushless) with a 3 1/2 opening. Their 2 1/2" is also nice but it's brush motor and has a small open. Thanks for the video Their com

They probably will. If I was to give advice to DeWalt I would say make the mouth 3 1/2" and put the safety button in line with the on/off switch. No problem, thanks!

Milwaukee must have discontinued the rubber boots for this. Mines didn't come with them & there is no mention of them in the user manual.

I would rate them about even. The drawback of the Milwaukee system is that the guard on the motor side is awkward to get on and off due to the battery location. The drawback to the Makita system is the doors don't give you as complete of access to change the blades. Good question!
