I have one of these and I love it. I did notice though when we went to move a panel and had to move the service, the pipe was 3in and it wouldn’t cut all the way through so keep that in mind even though it says 3-1/4 it will not cut 3in pipe unless you can spin the pipe or walk around the pipe. EDIT: it will cut 3-1/4 EMT or PVC pipe but it won’t cut 3in RMC (rigid)

This little band saw has turned out to be the best tool purchase I've ever made kzbin.infoUgkx5ZrqmYO2uJq_nuU8TopyWxVzn8vqmPUL Once doing the set-up as per the included suggestions, this table top tool has been my go-to saw ever since (8 months as of this review). There are few things I wouldn't attempt with this saw. It takes up much less space than my table saw yet delivers twice as much punch. I've used it to create slices of wood no thicker than an 1/16th of inch by using the POWERTEC BS900RF Rip Fence. For small shop projects this tool can't be beat.

Indispensable tool when you need it! Sweeeet! Also ... if you use band saws a lot you can buy bulk runs of blade and a special band saw blade welder and make your own! Much, much cheaper than prefab!

I have a cordless dewalt deepcut. I use it to to cut 3" pvc when running flu, all-thread, unistrut, gas pipe, etc. I can walk into my local supply house and find dewalt blades on the wall. And I'm still on my first blade. Bad ass. But I recently picked up a Milwaukee m18 compact for smaller cuts and I can't believe the fiasco with blades. I literally burned up my 1st supplied blade with no teeth left after cutting one 1/2 inch black pipe.. I've been on the phone with Milwaukee but I can't seem to get a straight answer on what blades I need for general HVAC and electrical work. It was an EXTREME THIN METAL blade. I found some 48-39 0529 blades at ace, but may just send this sweet tool back if it's gonna be this hard. No point in having a bad-ass tool I can't get quality blades for. Any advice?

I have the dewalt versions of there deepcut and compact bandsaw. In my opinion if you have the deepcut then the smaller compact of 2 1/2" like dewalt and others have is more ideal for compact as the handle trigger design is on top and easier to use 1 handed. But this Milwaukee size is more ideal if its you only bandsaw but dont want the full size as it has larger capacity. Milwaukee is making an m12 version of the 2 1/2 which i would think is better but only if you already have the deepcut too
