Crazy price. I got the 911 and the 503 together with a 20v and 20v battery pack with charger for 175 bucks. Came in the same box at lowes. I love them both

Torque Tool Channel measured 72 foot pounds of forward tighten torque with that same DeWALT ratchet. It produces more torque than all of the Milwaukee versions.

That was my exact thought. I have simply put it like this, why worry so much about ft. lbs. on a tool advertised as a "Ratchet" not a "Torque Wrench". They have us arguing over what does better on ft. lbs. when the whole time it's advertised as a "Ratchet". It's called advertising.

Great demo. I have both, I prefer the trigger on the Dewalt over the Milwaukee. Also on the Milwaukee, when breaking a fastener loose, the battery almost always pops out just enough where the tool becomes inoperable. Annoying but not a big deal. Needless to say, the Milwaukee lives at home now.

Thanks Pete! I meant to mention also how useful those ratchets are when removing oil plugs I dont mind the head of the ratchet getting soaked in oil. I dought it hurts it at all. My little 12v 3/8" impact now has what looks like black lights from getting an oil bath so many times.

tighter spots is the Milwaukee for the win, but i'm not in those tight spots much, and already on the Dewalt extreme 12v platform already so i'll grab one of these without a doubt.. Good vid !

The head size on both are the same so I didnt find the Milwaukee would fit any better in tighter spots. I do use the DeWalt 12v ratchet far more than I expected I would. Thanks for watching! 🍻

The Milwaukee you used wasn’t their latest model which is lighter and almost perfectly balanced. However it’s much faster but less torque. Model 2567-20.

Also the lever on Milwaukee can be removed by a roll pin, then you have a button for your finger, i like the paddle as the hand can grab it anywhere and drive the tool!

I have both. 20v dewalt and 12 volt milwaukee. They both perform great but my impacts the dewalt outperforms the milwaukee. That 12 volt 1/2 in drive dewalt impact is a beast. They are all great tools even makita. I'm like you I lean towards dewalt as I don't have any trouble with them.

Now that you have owned both the 1/4 and 3/8 xtreme ratchets, as a DIY mechanic, whats your take on which one is being used the most? From working on engines to removing bolts up to 16mm.

I had the 1/4" and I broke it fairly easily. The entire ratchet is practically the same size as the 3/8" and all that leverage broke off the 1/4" head too easy for me to get another one.

There is a reason why the DeWalt is not breaking away those fasteners but is faster at running the bolts. The DeWalt does have the torque, what you are experiencing is the safety shut off once it encounters resistance to prevent wrist snap.

Believe that was the 20 volt 510 model not the 12 volt 500 model tested here. However, this testing is flawed here. And the 500B will hit 50 lbs of TIGHTENING torque; not sure of the breakaway torque rating.

Well, these cordless ratchets is like comparing a regular ratchet to a breaker bar. It's not an impact gun. It's a ratchet you break it through with a breaker bar or an impact and then you put your ratchet on there. Buzz it out... Finger start the next bolt. Buzz it down then you got to torque it down... Same thing man. I understand air ratchets back in the day could break bolts free but even back then my dad would say it's not an impact. It's only a ratchet. When we used back in the day using air he would have said the same thing

I've had one old dewalt drill smoke years ago and she still runs like a champ. Never had any of their new stuff smoke no matter how hard I run it or bog it down. Ole Smokey isn't retired yet! Lol Edit: also, we got a lot of Snap On and Milwaukee power tools at work (company owned) and we've had a lot of failures with them. Company has been replacing everything with dewalt and none of them have had any issues so far.

I like your comparison of the two. Only one thing is really driving me crazy. It is not pronounced DEEEWALT. The "e" is lower case and is pronounced using the soft sound of the letter. Tools are great, I have them for 90% of my collection.

To any mechanics out their do yourself a favor and just buy the Milwaukee you won’t regret it. You might regret buying the dewalt when literally all your coworkers have Milwaukee and you can’t borrow batteries. I feel the most important thing is break away torque and ergonomics of the Milwaukee having that bullet style battery pac that fits inside the tool becoming a extension of the tool itself, turn into like a grip. Also it weighs more which typically means its built better with more metal. It’s cool dewalt offers this though but it being like .2 seconds faster in the real world wont really translate into making a huge noticeable difference. There’s a reason if you go into any mechanics shop you’ll most likely see 10 Milwaukee tools before a dewalt. I own the dewalt and it works, but the Milwaukee is superior. Better warranty as well 5years vrs 3 from dewalt which should tell you something. Not to mention all the other tools they offer that are compatible with their battery’s like the right angle impact, die grinder ect. Dewalt has barely any 12v tools in comparison and at rate they release new ones it will be 2095 before they catch up.

Not a fair test. Both have been used. They need to be new as well as the batteries from start for a fair test. Additionally, you're using the dewalt to run down and up the nuts while the milwaukee site there. You are also pulling the trigger on the dewalt now and then to verify direction while not with the milwaukee. I know these can be considered small things but if you want to do a fair test, then do it correctly!
