Right at about 3:50 you ran into the same problem I did where the handle will not slide back into the tube. I actually screwed around trying to sort this out and got Milwaukee's tech support on the phone. Long story short. There is a raised lip on the end of the rod about 1/16 of an inch thick that has to pass through a matching notch cut out of a retaining ring. To align the notch and the lip you will need to apply gentle pressure to the handle while turning it untill they line up. Then the rod will pass through. You'd think this would be addressed in the instruction manual. Not everyone has tribal knowledge of how grease guns work. Hope this helps.

It is mentioned in the manual that if you can't push the rod in, you turn the handle 90 degrees and it'll go in.

New Mexico Tree & Saw Service I would agree the m18 would give you much longer run times between charges. It would also provide more pressure over the m12. Thanks for watching and commenting. So glad you liked it. ~Mr. C.

You realize the plunger is there to push the grease right? You’re supposed to leave it out so it can push your grease and leaves you with a clean tube every time. Anytime I’ve pushed the plunger in with a full tube of grease less grease comes out and there’s always grease left in the tube. I don’t have the instruction manual on hand but I’d be willing to bet Milwaukee says leave the plunger out.

@jose mojica excellent observation. I was confused too about the handle sticking out. I pushed and pushed and couldn't get the rod in. Another commenter called Milwaukee and they helped him out. Look for Thomas Tipton comments. In summary, turn the handle 90 degrees and push in. There is a button on the front of the grease gun to purge air out. See if that helps. ~Mr. C.
