they are two different standards for two different purposes. If you use the orbital it is a more aggressive then a vibrating sander, you should always follow the orbital with the vibrator because it doesn't cut swirls.

3:57 The "extension" piece between the sander and dust collector is not necessary unless you use a 9ah or larger battery. I don't use it with mine ever. I do enjoy using both sanders and I prefer the dust collection on the 1/4 sheet sander as well. It's a much cleaner design.

Does it work only with XC type batteries, or it works with M18 batteries too?
@HuXtheDestroyeR2 жыл бұрын
I have both sanders. I was utterly disappointed with the old. The speed control mechanism inside broke so it just goes faster with no load. The new one is the cats ass. I got it back in early June on a preorder throigh Acme. Haven't touched the old one since.

@demofilm if I were to buy just one the square sheet one more versatile you can get into corners and the sand quality is the same and paper is cheaper
@demofilm8 ай бұрын
@@loucifer4205 the paper is no issue, this sander has two possible soles already in the package including the perforator. so regardless if it is 1 euro paper on a roll, or the sheets specially made for the machine you can use any type. the perforator ensures good dust retraction even with universal sanding papers, and the velcro feet works also on any sort with verlco. yes the extreme corners are not for this machine, but to be honest that is not his purpose. but is the de walt better brushless motor? or maybe different orbital speed?
