Electric motors have been capable of tremendous power for a very long time. Some Tesla cars have well over 1,000 ft. Lbs of torque which is significantly more power than diesel motors in dually 3500's & the like. Batteries have always been the bottleneck.

The 8.0 is 1.99 same as the 6.0 some reason and the 12 will be 2.49 same as the high output but they will probably drop 50

Yea thats the same price as their 12.0 hi output. Been that way for a while now. I have one as a homeowner and the only practical use i have for it is the blower. That thing drains batteries.

They were never intended to be homeowner tools. From their inception they've been heavy duty pro grade tools. They have some entry level stuff, that's more appropriate for homeowner needs/budgets. TTI also owns Rigid & Ryobi which are both likely better options for homeowners.

I am heavily invested in Milwaukee tools. Over and over though I am finding that the tools are becoming apparently designed to fail quicker than should be. When they do they are also designed to cost to much to repair due to items made to not be sold separately. This is not a Milwaukee tool problem only. Many other tool companies are going that direction. I am slowly replacing the damaged ones with Makita.

I have had very great success with Dewalt tools, I did buy several Milwaukee tools to go along with what we do and they have all failed within a few months

@@meatstick12gben Everyone has a little snobbery in their WW choices. Mine is DeWalt tools. Many years ago I had my eye on a Elu Router. Before I could get the money they were bought out by DeWalt. DeWalt then incorporated their design ideas and deleted the Elu brand. Pissed me off. Then my most hated company Stanley B&D bought DeWalt and about a hundred others along the way. Not all the companies were "Wal-marted" by Stanley B&D but most were. As much as I hate to admit DeWalt is still looking as good as ever. Many of their tools are well rated. I have ALMOST bought several recently . Now I rate them ahead of Milwaukee due to longevity and a few of them cost of repair.
