Milwaukee nut gun won't run. Not worth fixing milwaukee tools. This shows why.

Milwaukee group to many parts together, meaning the on part fails, replacements can cost an excessive amount.
When you take away the parts that need to be replaced on this gun, there is not much of the gun left.
You can see why it's cheaper to simply buy a new one.

The US should introduce laws across the board that repairability should be built into every tool as should the rest of the World. Crazy that these things cost so much only to go into a landfill a few years later. Apple seem to have lead the way with this non-fixable throwaway society. Right to Repair is fairly big in the US at the moment, partly lead by KZbinr Louis Rossmann. This throwaway game is very bad for the environment.

@manuelhung7571 But Germany also! In my opinion there has to be a law that every Power Tool company has to provide spare parts for at least 20 years after ending the production of a Powertool model.

New cars even worse, a $40 broken plastic part could cost $2,000 or more to replace consider all the other parts needed to be removed to to get access to it.

At lease Milwaukee parts available, Lowe's power Kobalt tools don't have parts even under the useless warranty like my Kobalt 60 gal compressor, 80V Kobalt chainsaw and probably the whole line of major Kobalt tools. You could get your money back under warranty but no parts available even for purchase, meaning out of luck after warranty.

Question for Milwaukee specialists: I have a Milwaukee M18 FMTIW2F12 that has an interesting bug. When I press the switch, the machine spins and diode number 3 (third gear) lights up for a long time. Only when the diode turns off is it possible to change the direction of rotation and start again. In addition, the maximum speed (diode number 3) cannot be changed. In order for it to work at all and not to wait for diode number 3 to go out, I remove and put back the battery. That means to change the wheels on a car that has 5 screws, I have to remove and put back the battery 10 times. Once I press the switch, I must not stop until the job is done, otherwise there will be a long pause or re-inserting and removing the battery. Impact wrench M18 FMTIW2F12 with 881 Nm loosening torque and 745 Nm torque Extremely compact design with a length of only 152 mm. Which I found in the trash (500 $) that I want to fix... ................. Eureka! I repaired my impact wrench today. The error was in the brown main switch. To make it even more fun, I found the machine and the spare part in the trash. Maybe my experience will help someone who has similar problems? Greetings from Switzerland

useful tip, Yes, this is a common problem with the milwaukee tools. I see if quite often. sadly it is a sign that the tool is about to totally fail. The only to repair is with parts from a donner machine. as Milwaukee do not supply these parts separately from the whole motor unit.

Undo the handle screws, undo the 4 screws holding the motor. Turn upside down and hold the hammer by the motor. Then use a rubber mallet to knock if the hammer section from the motor section.

@@deandohertygreaser Hi sir can I ask your help, I’ve watched loads of your videos over time, I have a dewalt wet tile saw dw2400, I’m getting sometimes different sound on motor, and sometimes it smells, like over doing a drill , I’ve stripped it down last night and noticed the field has ware rubbing type mark on inside, so had the armature, I’m thinking bearings, but obviously can’t tell as they seem ok smooth enough, any ideas please , don’t want to try repairing in it if need new field and armature

if you find out which mosfet it is. part numbers seem to have been removed. also it seems to be coated. so you have to remove the coating. all in all it will probably take way too long for a commercial repair shop, the cost is too high because it would cost too much time and therefore money, no one would pay for this repair... still the biggest problem is probably my first point. try to find out what mosfet they use...

The videos are bout tool repairs. I repair tools for a living. Sadly some tools cannot be repaired. I was showing why this milwaukee can not be fixed. As one failed component in the stator means i have to replace half the tool if if where to fix it. Cannt simply show all the repairs. Some time showing failures and non repairs can give a better understanding as to what each brand is about.

That's unfortunate. I love my M12 ratchets and stubby/right angle 1/2" impacts! I do use Makita 18 volt impact drivers for renovations and boy those guns are so easy to take apart and fix! Most of the time not even needing parts just a good cleaning and servicing and it's back working again! Even the one my buddy dropped in the lake😅👍
