I would argue that you don't need one to be happy While it's true some of us are set with a desire to be married In reality it's not necessary but if you can more happiness for you What I wanted to see is how the MC would at some point feel that void in his heart again to realise that she can't replace a human for numerous reasons If it was a sci-fi the argument I'm making would be different However since the author made a hard job to make it all realistic, and succeeding in that, in my opinion it would have been important to not support this kind of behaviour. Making for some time, feel full but at one point empty again, that would make the part when he crosses real girls at picnic episode more valuable. My opinion is that at some point he would have to understand that, or maybe even the robot Mina can make him go to that thought I wouldn't say this anime is horrible but it would be more juicy if he actually gave meat to cook and more foreshadowing on why it's wrong, it could have been something emotional, sad, delusional at first but then try to be who he is meant to be. Even with the help of the robot Mina and Mamoru. In the end the anime let us assume that just how he is going to live which is sad Don't let me start with the "if he's happy what's the matter" There are things I didn't like, especially how the father marriage is for one selfish desire not a mutual relationship of love All this just to justify the relationship with the robot "love is love" but please, it doesn't make sense
