I was there about a month ago, it was great. Very quiet, and felt like we had the whole town to ourselves. The Onsen that we stayed at was wonderful, and had the entire building and hot springs to ourselves and the food was fantastic. Very relaxing!

Thank you for sharing your trip with us. Enjoyed seeing the lovely scenery and the charming town of Minakami. Hope you’ve had a chance to have a well-deserved rest. Thanks again.

Thank you for the tour of Minakami Station! My mothet grew up in Minakami and I have fond memories of the little stores in front of the Station from my many visits to Japan! As she was watching your video she pointed out places that she recognized. We are grateful for this video as we both miss Japan and more so, Minakami ❤🙏❤

Excellent. This is what most tourists should be doing instead of spending all their time in tokyo, osaka and kyoto! Last trip I went to Ikaho Onsen which is also in gunma , just so peaceful without the social media crazed tourists!

What a surprise to watch this video. I have never seen this town. My mother and family are from there. Tano County, Gunma Prefecture. I plan to come to Japan soon from the United States. But don’t know how to find them. Can you help me?

Was there early this year in late January. You should have kept walking down that road as you get to more of the town.

That river rafting looked very scary, those waters looked very strong. I wonder how trained you have to be to do that.

Hey mate, get one of those cheap shoulder mounts for your tripod/gimbal. You can basically attach the tripod/gimbal to your shoulder strap of the bag when you need to use two hands. It has two part's, one attaches to the base of tripod and one to the shoulder strap of your bag. I would have shared the review, but cant share links here.

Hey John, just got back from Japan and considering moving there part time when I retire. Loving these out of the way locations but wondering how Japan would be for retirement and where you’d recommend.

Aloha John. Bro....I've missed 3 livestreams. Wth?? Hahaha. I'm on a bad timeline out here in the middle of the Pacific. I always enjoy when you travel to places like this where I've never heard of but learn all about them through your livestreams. Couldn't find the Super Thanks on here. Did it go away or am I just not seeing it? Loved the barbecue space. I could see myself sitting there with you and having UFO Bob, Brandania and whoever else in our OIJ Family to be there and just talking story with ice cold beverages in our hands. Put this on our list of things to do together one day bro.

Hey John, can I ask where you bought those awesome hammock camp chairs? Renting a mini camper for a road trip in autumn, and I'm sure they would make for a nice upgrade in comfort levels 😁.

LOGOS, it’s a Japanese camp equipment company. I thought it was Canadian at first 😂 I’ve seen similar ones on Amazon and once at Costco too but we got ours at Logos because they have a store nearby and the staff is always nice to me and Leo pretending to go camping inside their store! Hahaha ⛺️

My son and I will be in Tano County,Gunma Perf in 2025. We want to visit the Onsens. Would it be possible for us to rent a mini camper? We are American.
@corikra13926 ай бұрын
I don't see why not, everyone is able to rent a car, you just need an international driver's licence 👍. Best way to discover Japan.
