I would recommend checking out the beards and bondage series! The first book is about Shep the ex Meegan talks about 🫣he’s soooo iconic i get why she was mourning that relationship

i'm so glad to see someone also fall in love with icarus! i finished it and the author note just made me heavy sob. the book is so important to me and just struck such a chord. the wicker king is a favorite book of all time for me and the way icarus matched up with it for me was so so wonderful because it just felt like this book was what i NEEDED. the slow lyrical writing and emotional intimacy between the friendships and the romance was just everything to me and i'm already rereading it days after finishing it, all while planning a tattoo based around the book lmao (i have one for the wicker king already so it only MAKES SENSE haha). but yeah totally agree, like i am so attached to this book that i do not trust myself to hear anyone dislike it so i've barely recommended it to people yet because the way that book just ACHES i cannot explain it!!!!

I really want to read the art of scandal now! And I have icarus on my kindle waiting for me, so it's good to know it's not a greek mythology retelling because with that name I thought it was. But mostly I got it because I'd heard amazing things about this author with their book the wicker king, which is why I wanted to read this one too. So I'm not bothered knowing the direction is very different!!
