I was watching a video about comic book can you register multiple comic book characters for trademark on one application

Even if you could, it would be of very little practical value. Typically, you would trademark the name of the series of comic books as well as visuals of your main characters.

@@trademarkfactory this person had five comic book characters would this person have to trademark each in every character on a separate application could this person do a group application
@trademarkfactory9 ай бұрын
@@drweiss8 There's no such thing as a group application. Whatever is being submitted is treated as a single brand--not as a collection of brands that should be granted separate protection.

At 12:00 you say Non US residents cannot file in USA without a lawyer, but wouldn't they be allowed through the Madrid international application? Also isn't it true that the applicant has to have US domicile thus an American friend with a US address can be the applicant and still list you as the trademark owner? At 12:25, you say You must be a trademark agent to register in Canada, but, a Canadian can do it themselves.

No, having an American friend doesn't allow you to file a US trademark in your name if you are not a US resident. Having an address you could use and being a resident are completely different things. Yes, filing a Madrid application allows you to bypass the requirement to have a US attorney when filing in the U.S. but choosing to file a Madrid application JUST because you don't want to use a U.S. attorney is like buying a new car just because you don't feel like pumping gas in your old one. I do say at 13:05 that you CAN file trademarks in Canada yourself. You don't even need to be a Canadian to file your own Canadian trademarks. Anyone can do it. It's just a bad idea.

Good job for relinquishing your lawyer license so that you can focus.
