9:35 this is one of the smartest tricks a mom can do! My mom often peeled whole carrots and washed celery, put both on the table in tall water glasses, while she was cooking. We would inevitably start eating both, just waiting for dinner to be ready. It’s good nutrition, and good for growing healthy teeth and jaws (chewing fibrous veggies, that is)

Love your channel Gillian! I’m a Dr. Morse trained iridologist and have seen the difference in people’s eyes from a raw plants and fruits diet. The body can and will heal itself given the proper diet and considerations. Your channel is a wonderful resource and inspiration! And! I love that sweater on you 💜

What you said about the raw food being cooked from the sun was awesome! And I am always amazed from all the stories about dr. McDougall and all the good he has done in the course of his life. Sending you love from Germany.

If you get a chance, try making Tiger Nut Milk. It's my favorite taste wise, but also nutritionally I prefer it over Almond Milk. I have to use Blanched Almonds, so that I can have a Lectin free milk. With Tiger Nuts, I don't have to worry about any allergens.

I appreciate your video so much, but I have a suggestion/request. I know you do what you eat in a day videos, but how do you suggest someone plan meals if they work a 9 to 5 and have kids and a husband? Whenever I try to eat plant based, I usually only make it a week or so because the planning and prep is so daunting when I have to make 2 different meals. The plant foods are usually just for me and they want “traditional” foods. It’s so hard to navigate all that meal preparing and cooking. Could you share more suggestions on how to prepare meals for the kiddos if it’s not plant based while maintaining a plant based diets? I know overtime the fam will navigate towards the real food, but they won’t if I’m inconsistent.

Kiki said her kids stopped getting strept throat when she cut out their dairy. My daughter who is now 20 suffered her whole life from severe asthma since she was an infant. I wish I could have tried a plant based approach with her diet when she was younger.
@ainahaga4 күн бұрын
Also dangerous with low calcium! You have to eat alooot of vegetables to get enough calcium! And in most plantbased milk here in Norway they put calcium carbonate - that is not good for the body.

@@Pattycake1974 those with astma are usually very low in d3. Have you checked her d3 levels? And a plantbased increases potassium levels that increases magnesium levels that also make your body absorb d3 from the sun very fast so yeah more plantbased are better for everyone. My daughter dont even wanna eat any vegetables. Its very frustrating.

I breastfed each of my kids until 2 years old, they never had dairy, they're now in their teens and still no cavities. They have almost always eaten meat though. They go plant-based every now and then for anywhere from a month to a year. They have always been mostly whole foods and we all take A, D, and K drops.

Give him zinc gummies + a good multivitamin with copper in it! Also look into glutathione gummies if he does not want much vegetables. Colour build glutathione! I was vegan for 5 years struggled so much with psychosis and so much health issues with my teeths cause I did not eat fermented foods with K2 in it. Vegans do not get enough k2 if they do not eat fermented foods with K2. K2 strengthens the teeths alot. Also little D3 in vegan foods. Also no taurine, creatine, carnosine, carnitine in a vegan diet! Theeses aminoacids are only in animal based. So vegans need to supplement alot of things.
@ainahaga4 күн бұрын
You can also get acne of low iron and low D3 and also of insulin resistance. I did of lacking all of theese nutrients beeing vegan but I must admit I do like best plantbased so I do supplement alot but I still eat some chicken, some meat, and a little eggs. But I still feel not the best so I think I will do a juice cleanse again soon
