I had a really bad situation when I was in high school where my dominant arm stole a lot of the load from my chest due to poor form and muscle contraction. I would try to lift as heavy as I could and after a while, I saw one pec getting large and the other not increasing. I was able to fix it by lowering the weight much lower and really focusing on the muscle contracting and trying to leave my arm as limp as possible

My left pec is 50% larger than my right pec. My right tricep is larger than my left tricep. I often wonder if this is due to differences in muscle/tendon insertion or just the fact that I'm very right hand dominant and my right tricep accomodates my right pec. This seems useful for such a case.

Do yoga brother but varied intensity depending on how you feel, everyday for up to a month and you will feel each joint build strength and tendons and it will also create balance and stability. basically covers everything and it helps with preventing injuries because it helps good posture. Just try it for a month i garuntee you will feel the benefit. not enough people know or think yoga does much. but its better than anything else

Im speaking from experience i think i done to much heavy load in shoulder press and about 1-2 years in the gym overworking, i was unbalanced and thought it would fix itself. And it caught up to me. im 99% sure i torn my supraspinatus tendon and almost dislocated my left shoulder. And was in agony for up to 6 months until i could even start to rehab, and do any type of workout to get better. its been a year now and i still havent got my arm back to normal. But tears dont usually heal ever without surgery. you can make muscles aroumd it stronger to help with pain thats it. And when you initially tear you dont feel it because of adrenaline when lifting but it will start to slowly rip with daily movements and you go to bed lean on it and you can dislocate your shoulder. 💯🤯🤯 Thats what happen to me almost 👌🏻

You can also do the first thing with the plates but just your hands pressed together, push them out, and keep pressing them into each other as hard as you can for as long as you can
@plethoral1854

I disagree. That exercise may work the contraction of the chest since he is bringing his arms towards the midline of the body(aka what the pectorals do) which does help mind muscle connection to an extent. But considering the direction of resistance(vertical, cuz gravity), the load will be shifted more towards the anterior delts than the chest since it is working to keep the arms up against gravity alongside with the weight of the plates. If i were him, I would try hop on a set of cables or a machine press(ofc depends on people to people) since that correctly aligns the direction of resistance with the chest and gives better contraction too.
@Aatell764
@Aatell764 Жыл бұрын
I will definitely try that, what a fine idea. I'm going to wrap my resistance cable on my wardrobe again. My right arm is more dominate then my chest and my left pec I feel very little connection to.

Because these arent exercises dude. They are meant to stimulate the chest to get the mind/muscle connection. If you're perpendicular to gravity, you aren't doing any work

@xZyrux
@xZyrux 2 жыл бұрын
When the plate is held between the palms of the hands, the friction generated by both hands cancels out gravity. Since the friction can only be maintained by pressing the palms together (done by the chest), by transitivity of force exertion the chest is actually working against gravity.
@plethoral1854
@plethoral1854 2 жыл бұрын
@@xZyrux I disagree. The force of gravity cannot be ‘cancelled’ if you are not working with the same amount of force in the parallel&opposite direction of gravity.
