I love how Pearl Jam doesn't give a crap about what their music sounds like to other people, they produce what they want to produce. Which is clear from this album. You get this song, and then you get a song like Sleeping By Myself which is almost the polar opposite.

Few bands have been as consistently great as pearl jam. I love most of their albums, but none will ever reach the sheer awesome-ness of ten. I was repurchasing the album many years ago(scratched) and the guy at the counter said; " every human should have a copy of this album issued to them at birth "...Funny stuff but sums up what an amazing record it is.
@TingleTheAssassin9 жыл бұрын
+salamagogo I totally understand where you're coming from. And I respect your opinion just as much as anyone else's. However, in my opinion Vs. was the one everyone should have. But just as I'd have to add, they've consistently made great albums. What's funny is that the band's least favorite album of theirs (Binaural) is my favorite. Every song on there is just awesome.

@@muzuhope4206 i see alternative rock as a term for music that can stretch from punk to post punk to heavy metal to grunge and etc. As far as i know, It was a synonym for underground hard rock bands in the 80s with a heavy influence from Punk, and up untill the 90s it was grunge.

Official lyrics: I got an unfortunate feelin I've been beatin down I feel that I don't believe And now the truth is coming out What they're takin is More than a vow They're takin young innocents And then they throw em on a burnin pile Ah ah ye ah And all along they're saying Mind your manners I caught myself believin That I needed God And if it's out there somewhere We sure could use hymn now Try my patience! My patience tried "This world's a long love letter" That makes me want to cry, yeah Along they're saying Mind your manners S'all they're saying "Self-realized and metaphysically redeemed" "May not live another life" "May not solve our mystery" Right around the corner Could be bigger than ourselves We could will it to the sky Or we could something else And no longer sayin Mind your manners Always praying "Self-realized and metaphysically redeemed" "May not live another life" "May not solve our mystery" Right around the corner Could be bigger than ourselves We could will it to the sky Or we could something else Go to heaven That's swell How you like your livin Hell? Go to Heaven That's swell How you like your livin Hell? Words in quotes originally from a Pearl Jam 10 Club fan post. Which were subsequently hidden by the fan club moderator.
