Yes, Maneskin has been watched by millions of people, but they still make shit, not music... Just how many people watch something doesn't mean it's worth it.
@GranpaMike2 жыл бұрын
@@PK--ITA Agreed. But let me ask you this -- if a band's video only has 13 views in 10 years, what does that say about their music? A big indicator of view counts is the age demographic. I see this with a lot of old, "real" Country music videos. Great music, but most of those in their fan base don't watch KZbin. A classic Country song might have a couple million views while some pathetic flavor-of-the-week group signs with the right publicity agents and gets 20 million views in a month. Beth and Joe are exceptional performers, and have a tremendous base of loyal fans. The quality of their work speaks for itself, regardless of how many YT views get tallied. Thanks for your thoughts, Piotr.
@PK--ITA2 жыл бұрын
@@GranpaMike I've never watched a video based on views alone, never since YT exists, because that's what most viewers measure. Do you believe in the idea of "if everyone is watching it must be good"? I don't, it's like walking in a flock of sheep, if they go then I have to go, no thanks. I watch what I want to watch. If something is worth my attention, it may have even 5 views in 15 years, but if I like it, I don't give a shit how many people saw it. bye

She sells the song because she lives it and she leaves it all on stage. I've been in the music business for over 30 years and I have never seen a better female artist than Beth Hart. Beth and Joe are both such pros at what they do. Couple of fun facts....I know you play guitar and really appreciated that solo, it's one of my all time favs, if you notice with the one camera angle when it first starts, you get a good view of Joe's picking hand, he uses a picking technique made popular by Albert King and a few other Blues greats, called either Hybrid Picking or Hide-a-Pick, if you notice he has the pick tucked back in the crook of his forefinger, and picks with his fingers only at first, then later switched to the pick, and back again a couple times, until the crescendo which is all pick. It's a very difficult technique to master going back in forth quickly but gives a very distinct blues sound. You have a VERY good ear, I've only seen a couple other reactors pick up on the Tennessee Whisky relation. Here's the thing though, the original song was written in 1980 by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove, who offered it to George Strait who turned it down, then to David Allen Coe who loved it and released it on the Album of the same name in 1981, then in 1983 George Jones released a cover similar to Coe's version. When Chris Stapleton was an unknown, but respected songwriter, in Nashville, him and his band would play the local dive bar scene on weekends for fun and extra cash. One of Chris's biggest musical influences growing up was Etta James, while he loved the lyrics to Tennessee Whiskey, he decided to merge them with the music of "I'd Rather Go Blind" and that is how he played Tennessee Whisky at the dive bars. It became such a fan favorite with the locals, when he decided to release some of his own music in 2015, his manager talked him into including his version of Tennessee Whisky on his debut album, and the rest is history! Great reaction by the way!!
