Aaa, I'm glad you mentioned how off the relationships in Inuyasha are 😭 I have a nostalgic sweet spot for that anime but god damn the romantic relationships are really sketchy. I remember watching Hanasakeru seishonen in my early teens. I don't remember much of it but I also dropped halfway through. That opening song is a bop tho

I always find it interesting too when people are so new to anime, I got into anime in like 2006 and my husband only got into it in 2020 so I’m trying to show him all the anime I adored and I remember always wanting to read or watch Love Com and I finally watched it about a year ago, I thought it was cute and funny

if you like romance mixed with drama that takes a new take on the love triangle, i strongly recommend you watch nagi no asukara aka a llull in the sea !!! truly an underrated anime. beautiful art, beautiful and ambient music, good animation, important themes and an emotional story :) oh and as a few other people have mentioned: lovely complex is really cute!

i also don’t watch anime as much as i used to. i haven’t watched any series that i enjoyed since perhaps 2019 ish? it’s nothing to do with time commitments though, i just feel like they’ve been putting out more trash over the years 🤧

Yeah, I usually look for older anime from 2010 and before bc there's a lot of shows/movies that fell through the cracks and aren't really recognized. I also prefer the art style of a lot of older stuff

@@digitalzealot7026 yess i only watch older anime from 2010s and prior, they’re so spectacular and there’s still so much hidden gems yet to uncover. plus like you said, i prefer the art styles. animation now is the best it’s ever been but there’s something sweet about the crunchy, half baked quality of older anime that I just can’t get enough of

They have. We are overrun by shonen isekai, shoujosei anime are barely existent and if you arent into seinen graphic violence and angst, you are basically cooked.

I definitely check out chihayufu if or when I get the time.😅iv watch a good bit of anime in 2020 to 2022 but as of late 2022 I've been kinda behind on some shows mainly cause of time and rl stuff and sometimes all am in the mood for is some calming cafe music on yt lol 😅but I'll try to get back in my anime thing into hopefully when ever I can.

I definitely agree with you on the romances in Inuyasha. I still can’t wrap my head around it. Both Inuyasha and Kagome’s and Sesshomaru and Rin’s relationships along with age gaps are soooo gross.

Omg I think the worst anime I saw was Sword Gai and The irregular at magic high My faves are noragami, Eden of the east, gankutsuou uh... A bunch of others that I can't think of right now lol I used to be able to watch so much anime and speed through books when I was younger 😭 but luckily, I have the motivation again to read/watch things consistently again, so that's good Also, tubi has the most random, obscure anime on it lol 😭😭 what a trip Sorry about the rambling 😭🤗
