"Intuition is based on your knowledge of food" is SUCH a great insight. I was an "intuitive eater" for years until starting to track back in August of last year. I realized I was under-eating, not consuming nearly enough protein for my goals, scared of carbs, etc. Tracking helps me eat more, reach my goals, and see food as a tool to reaching those goals. It's setting me up for *successfully* intuitive eating in the future.

you guys got a great show, damn. Recently got back into the groove with diet and exercise and have been doing intermittent fasting since 2/2/23 every day. Past two weeks so far have upped to protein to match my lean body mass at or above 140g daily and today discovered a 6 pound loss down to 166.6 pounds since a week and a half ago and all i did was my at home workouts two on one off and two on and one off but for the last week just did full body everyother and will probably stick to that schedule. About the food thing I been weighing my foods to the gram like 90 percent of the time unless i get something outside then im at the mercy of the nutrition label or internet, and I usually weigh the food right before it goes on my plate to eat it and as far as intuitive thing it just becomes familiar to the eye what 140g or 50g of a food would look like. I still use a food scale to weigh my foods. Working on besting my physique from 2013-2014 when I was 145 pounds and lean/skinny fat. Dont wanna turn 40 looking like bullshit this summer. Yo I listen to you guys when Im on the road in my truck and its so nice what you guys are doing. Peace

Just wanted to share this chipotle hack - I order through the app and pick up so I don’t have to go through the line and do this😂 -but I order two kids meals. Each one comes with a portion of meat and two sides so I do steak with both, cheese and sour cream with one and rice and beans with the other. It ends up costing me the same amount as a bowl maybe a little bit less and you also get a piece of fruit or kids chips which is just enough for me. I take it home and weigh it and make my own bowl. I LOVE chipotle ❤

Many ppl swear by ppl, i respect that after all to each their own, to me however i always see more progress when i train antagonists. I dont like to have to do triceps after my chest and shoulders... neither biceps or rear deltoids after my back and so on.. i still do have my purely leg day but i train arms and shoulders on the same day, legs have their own and i really like to train chest and back together. Yea i know its sort of bro split ,but that way i give my 100% to each muscle and my previous exercise does not limiting my next one. I hate when i fry my chest and my triceps are sort of fatigued but i have to do them and my shoulders. I know that ppl say it does not matter and ill have to do less for finish them off ,but i just dont like it. I love i do 100% effort chest movement and then go and do the same brutal effort for back movement and then again chest one without one fatigue the other.Same goes for biceps and triceps on arms day, full effort to both and the shoulder. At the beginning its hard cause of the overall body fatigue, but ones i got used to train like this i dont want to do synergists anymore😂 I guess to each their own ,but i love it and love all 3 days to finish my whole body, rest 1 day and repeat, sometimes 2 days if i feel like it. With this split my body see both hypertrophy and str progress and i love it so much.

I once bought a 32 oz bottle of Propel water. It said "0 cals per serving", but then it said "5 cals per bottle." That was the day I discovered what Adam was talking about; an ordinary bottle of Propel probably has 2 or 3 calories, and the FDA just lets them get away with it.

I've been tracking for a looooong time now whether I am working out or not and have been really seriously tracking within the last few months, hoping to get to the point of intuitive eating. I've gotten to the point where my wife bought me a portable scale to take around with us when we go out to eat. Had to return it because it was really small and seemed like something someone would use to measure out drugs as it would not measure anything over 5 ounces lol. Made us laugh but I think I hope to ween off of the tracking.

TicTacs are also described as 'sugar-free' because one TicTac is one serving, and anything under a certain amount of sugar per serving can be labelled sugar-free. This is WAY more harmful than the caloric aspect, because a young diabetic, who doesn't know better, could put themselves at literal risk of death, thinking that they're fine to eat.
