So the story goes, (25) yrs ago today my then girlfriend and myself left our hometown in SW Ohio heading for Gatlinburg Tennessee to be married. Both of us were young and in love and scared at the same time and very broke. We had only $300 to our name but nothing was going to stop us. So driving down I 75 South our song at that time was Guys Do It All The Time, we played that song for (4) hrs straight. We finally made it to Lake Cumberland where her dad had a nice place on the lake. We stayed the night there and headed out the next morning to Gatlinburg to get married. We got to the courthouse in Pigeon Forge, paid $36 for our marriage license and then stopped at the Walmart and bought her a ring for $30. The wedding chapel was $100. So on October 1, 1997 we were married before the eyes of GOD, since that time we have had (3) boys and (2) grandsons. So every time we hear this song it takes us back to when we were two young lovers who wanted a life together. So here in a couple of days it will be October 1, 2022 our 25th anniversary 🎉 HAPPY 25th ANNIVERSARY MY LOVE ❤

@@DariusATL Actually, the dog would have resorted to eating the corpse if it had access to the body but no access to food. Near to where I grew up, a man killed himself in his bathtub with his 3 dogs in the house. No one knew for weeks until someone went to check on him. His dogs were malnourished when discovered and, needless to say, there wasn't much of a body left to identify. A friend of mine bought the house a couple of years later. Pretty gruesome. I'd say she killed hers out of mercy.

Agreeeeeed! The 90's were an awesome time for country. After that it just sank to depths so low I honestly don't know how anyone is still listening to the crap on the airwaves now. I've been a lifelong headbanger with a few secrets (smooth jazz, ABBA, clubbing music... you know, the usual secrets people keep about their type of music.) But around 1995 I had a good friend introduce me to country... only because he kept hijacking the workshop radio. I became a fan of Brooks&Dunn, Pam Tillis (loved her music), and my favorite John Michael Montgomery... to name just a scant few of a larger list. (That's okay but I introduced him to Dream Theater and his country butt fell out of his chair when he heard them) And you are right...I kinda kept up with country music for about 10 years. Don't listen to it any more on purpose. It just wasn't appealing as it was in the 90's.

On February 17, 2013, McCready's neighbors called the Sheriff's Office of Cleburne County, Arkansas, reporting gunshots. McCready was found dead on her front porch from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the same place where David Wilson, her former boyfriend and the father of her younger son, had fatally shot himself one month prior.[49][50] She was 37 years old.[3][51] She also shot and killed Wilson's pet dog before her suicide. Unfortunately a LOT of people don't know the full history of this trainwreck of a human being and how selfish she was, she hid it through her great music and sexy looks but make no mistake, she was crazy af!
