I listened to this song a lot during detox and early recovery. If you take the first line, "Speaking of the Devil, look who just walked in" as "The literal Devil just walked in", this song is a pretty good view of what it's like to try and get clean, but having that past constantly running you down. Poor Mindy I wish she had someone looking over her that night . A good man or friend that could have saved her and got her back on the right path. She was loved and even though she couldn't see it she had a bright future & could have gotten her career back and even her kids in time. Sadly she choose a permanent solution for a short term problem. My Father took that same path in March 1999. He took his life over problems that would have worked themselves out if he just stepped back from them for a little while.....RIP Mindy McCready & EK you are both missed!

Fame is like love when it's great it's the best thing in the world. But when it goes bad it can completely destroy a person. I hope she is in peace now. RIP Mindy.
