The race was 2009 and I can't find an alternate call. I would love to hear someone who actually knew what was going on. It really cheated the winner

@@michaelreeves3637 same here! If you can find it??? A group of people on the backstretch watching the race, kinda laughing as he went by last cheering/jeering and then shocked when he won and the interviewer on horse right in front of them as they cooled down to go to circle.
@nogames89825 ай бұрын
The interview with the owner/trainer after the race was also terrible. They didn’t know what to ask him. They didn’t even really congratulate him on a great horse. They were just too busy being shocked. It was a great race.

I guess like most people, I watch horses race only one time a year. So I'm hardly an expert. But I swear, every time I see this, it's so crazy to watch a horse that's twice as fast as the field. It looks fake, AI generated. Astounding!

I visited at his home and then a couple of years ago at Ruidoso where he appeared for charity event for disable jockeys! I love him and I still cry every time I see this! NM PROUD!!! It was NOT impossible....he was the 2 year old champ in Canada! He went on to run in all 3 TC races...jockey switch and ran 2 and 3 in the last 2 legs! GREAT HORSE! Had epiglottis surgery, Lukas barn ruined him after he was transferred there! So glad he survived and has retired healthy and happy! PS...the TRACK ANNOUNCER caught the move! RIP Pioneer of the Nile and Summer Bird😪

I love the ponies and I love to watch them run but I detest running them on a wet and muddy track. I care greatly for the horses and not their owners.
@JaneSmith0709 Жыл бұрын
I agree. Money isn't everything. Once the horse has paid for itself it should get breaks now and then. I heard Ron Turcotte tell about a race that Secretariat lost. He said the horse had been running a fever and he begged Lucien, the trainer, not to run him in that race. Then he asked the owner but nobody would listen to him. They ran him with a fever and he came in 4th. When he went back to his stall he had 105 degree temperature. They could have injured or killed the greatest racehorse of all time. Thankfully, he was young and strong and pulled through.
