is it possible to replace a roof color or any other block that is aesthetically similar before building anything?

when i spawn a building it has these little blocks spawning on top of the roof and underneath the building and i keep having to delete it all, anyone know how to fix this issue??

Hi, you probably already found the answer but just in case: is it possible that you used the schematic paste by accident? You need to use „constructed“ instead.
