Honestly Minecon seems SO much better than what we have now, I wish I was knew it existed back then and was old enough to enjoy it

The length of the video was a suprise coming form you, but for the amount of things you cover up, you managed to make it pretty condensed and maintain the video quality overall. It was definitly worth the wait and exited to see what you're doing next ^^

Honestly, capes have completely lost their appeal now that they're something that's regularly given out for free by simply voting. Their whole appeal was that they were this exclusive almost mythical thing you could only get by physically going to Minecon or contributing to the game in some way

Its a gradual acuminating issue, as more kids got into Minecraft, they watched more youtubers, and those youtubers and newer ones appealed to their audiences more and more. KZbin really does shape and form cultures, and because youtubers were mostly making kids content, the culture was changed as well. There is nothing inherently wrong being a kid and enjoying Minecraft, of course I was one of them, but its the youtuber's faults for re-shaping the culture of Minecraft to milk as much money as possible from kids. You saw this mostly from 2016-2018 but there is still a lot of it today, most Minecraft youtube content is still targeting kids. Its frustrating, as the game itself is great but as soon as you look at any surrounding media it ruins the experience. Want some information on a mod? You're gonna have to subject yourself to clickbait, high-octane voices, pandering, and other things that can only be best described - and I am not using this term lightly or in a jokey 2016 style - as cringe. Things have gotten better, youtube as a platform has changed and morphed over the past few years, and the style of content, as least what I get recommended, has vastly improved. Most people that just want to make money quickly and target kids have moved to other platforms, the algorithm is recommending smaller youtubers that do more specialized, long-form content, such as this channel. Minecraft's culture has improved, although going from kids and contrarians to redditors isn't that big of an improvement. KZbin's Minecraft content has improved, there are now some creators that act more professional, more options to choose from and less 2016-ness.

I was an attendee of Minecon 2016! It was honestly a great time. For me at least, it was pretty much what you thought about as a youngster - a huge gathering of people who were all super into the same game you were super into. Even some of the parents taking their kid knew their stuff, while waiting in line for merch I had this lovely conversation with this mom who was waiting there in her child's place all about the world that she and her family played on, as well as my worlds. It felt pretty special to be there in person to see the new update revealed, and I did get to meet a bunch of KZbinrs and Mojang devs. I still have my photos with SethBling, CaptainSparklez, and Antvenom, as well as my iron sword signed by Jeb. I also happened to sit down for lunch outside the convention center right next to the Pocket Edition dev team - I didn't realize it was them at the time but they got my attention and asked if I was enjoying the con. I told them I was and had a really nice chat with them. Sure, there was definitely some moments that fit in a cringe compilation, but none of it was stuff I attended or was involved in, and it's a really pleasant memory of mine.

Man, I just stumbled across this channel and I watched the "Golden Age of Minecraft" video and now this, I must say the videos are so well made. Information is brought out very clearly, the audio mixing is seamless, the editing is very consistent and notasking for attention yet warrants it, your facecam and your background is very pleasing to return to after all the well-edited footage and good montage editing, bravo. Keep it up, man. You've got me hooked. You definitely deserve a lot more than what you've got on KZbin simply because of quality, I'm excited to how well you do in the future, brother. Have a good one

Hey, I think it must hurt seeing such a long and well-made video get only a fraction of the views of your previous videos. As a wise girl from an anime once said: "It won't connect with everyone, but those that do, it will hit hard". I hope to brighten up your day by saying, I did enjoy it very much. Thank you

I can still remember desperately begging my parents to take me to Minecon Paris because at the time I didn’t live in the USA. I was heartbroken as a 12 year old. I was however healed when I migrated my old Minecraft account to a new Microsoft account and got the custom cape. Truly healing my inner child.

I am an attendee of Minecon 2016. Please. Ask me anything. I never quit playing. I know the game better than the back of my hand. I tried out the survival game competition. I got the purple sheep plush. I got a print out of my skin. I attended many panels. I asked some questions during a panel on technical Minecraft. I participated in the costume contest. I voted for the llama during the actual first mob vote. (llama vs alpaca) I played Super Dungeon Bros. I got a goodie bag. I went to the coding booth. I got the cape. I met and got a signature from Mumbo.

Outstanding video as always, I've found a lot on this video and channel I haven't seen before! But, I had a question about 1:01:42, does the creepy enderman actually appear in Minecon 2016? I could not find it in the Minecon 2016 videos or following Jen's announcement of 1.11 in the Day 1 video. All I know is that it was a fanmade recreation of the early enderman concepts when Beta 1.8 was in it's prerelease stages, by someone named SSLithuania.
@binguschondo Жыл бұрын
thank you! and yeah! if you go to the day one livestream for minecon 2016, the ten hour stream, the enderman appears at 2:39:36 in a little reel of things about minecraft. i had no idea it was a fan recreation - i’ll have to check that out!
