What Minecraft relies on are bug reports. Bedrock has a public beta test for version that haven't come out yet. I think they heavily rely on this and community feedback they get on bug reports. This is fine until they brush off the bug and just leave it be for almost a year (example being pink glitch). It would be nice if mojang had actual beta testers who actually try to find bugs and not people who just want the version earlier and get new items.

nice video, im genuinely glad you brought this issue up, and gave it the attention it needed, and also just the game overall. these devs have really tilted me for a while especially with my own development. i have done many other reports for other things, though Microsoft has yet to fix ONE OF THEM. An example of one of these issues is the mj bridging double placement bug, and was first reported 10 MONTHS AGO. they also removed the easy way to start a downbridge FOR NO REASON :(

Before this update, I didn't enjoy playing survival because of the disappearing boats bug. That caused me to play multiplayer almost exclusively. After this update, boats no longer disappear, but the multiplayer experience is now so terrible that it makes me not want to play. Kinda went from one extreme to the other with this update.

I create high quality minigames on realms as a hobby and the 1.18.10 update reminded me how little the developers working on Bedrock edition actually care about us, especially realm owners/players. When the "/gametest" command was added to the game, there was a bug where anyone could use it in any realm with any permissions without having gametest functionality enabled in the world settings. IIRC, doing "/gametest runall" would create a bunch of structures containing beacons, command blocks, entities and more over a large area, overwriting everything. This was used for duping and destruction and easily decimated both survival and minigame realms. We had to close our realm for almost a month because, get this, it was patched much later in a server-side fix and I don't think anyone was even told about it. We only found out because we were tired of waiting and tried it ourselves. The bug report for it was private so that people don't find out about it and exploit it (but that didn't stop anyone). The "/kick" command was exploited too. When it was added, hackers summoned command block minecarts by placing buckets of fish or bee nests. These command block minecarts had a payload of "/kick @a" or similar. You can tell that this would be catastrophic in large realms and it was. The developers quickly "fixed" the issue by changing the command so that target selectors like "@a" or "@r" don't work. This stopped the hackers from kicking lots of players at once, sure, but this also prevented us realm owners and administrators from actually using the command for moderation. It still hasn't been fixed to this day. Another ongoing issue that is still affecting realms is signs, books and quills, renaming items on anvils, and chat not working in realms. It only happens to some realms, but when it does happen, it is BAD. Signs used to have an entire galaxy of issues like removing line breaks, censoring normal words, only being visible to the person who writes them until they log out, or even wiping all text from the sign if you type too fast or certain common combinations of characters. Now the latest bug is not being able to use signs at all, period. There used to be clever workarounds for all of the above issues but signs on certain realms don't straight up don't retain text. Our realm is a MINIGAMES realm which relies heavily on signs for communication. The other issues I mentioned are books and quills not retaining text either (I haven't had much experience with this one because I don't use books), anvils not renaming items (only for certain people, my friends on console can't rename items but I can on PC with a few workarounds), and chat not working in realms (messages sent in chat have massive delays, up to tens of minutes at time. You have to use the "/me" or "/say" command to talk). As far as I know, ALL of these issues still exist in realms (except the gametest one), ALL of them have been documented in the bug tracker, and ALL of them have been been either ignored or forgotten. I have spent 3100+ hours on Bedrock for Windows and I do believe It has the potential to be the front-running edition of Minecraft, but it simply won't be if money is a more important goal than the experience of the users, ESPECIALLY THE PEOPLE PAYING FOR YOUR EXPENSIVE REALMS SERVICES.

I would just like to also add something that you missed or may have not know of If you didn’t already know the hive has some maps with custom blocks made by the hive team and for example the map sky sanctuary on treasure wars trios/squads some of the blocks most notable the stairs if you are on the new buggy update you have to jump as it counts it as a full block instead of a slab and with some of the bushes if your on the old version well you can go threw them just fine if your on the new version you can’t and some new players seeing people going through blocks they can’t will think that that player is hacking/cheating when they probably aren’t this is going to lead to a lot of false reports for the hive

I’ve noticed this bug on my pc, luckily you can downgrade versions on pc, but mobile players (mostly iOS players) are stuck with the movement bug which is very sad. I mostly play on iOS and I’m probably the only one who hasn’t downloaded the update. Hopefully they fix this bug quickly!

The cause of the movement big is an issue where they were trying to decrease the packet information they sent through servers to decrease lag. In a small group like the ones they would use for bug testing this would send information from every player within fractions of a second, however when it gets into larger groups it sends less information per player per second causing jittering. This wouldn't have been caught by the bug testing team as fps and packet size stays the same but would only get noticed afterwards when playing on large servers like hypixel with hundreds of thousands of players being kept track of at once.

Bedrock’s trademark bugginess is one of its main issues, but I think it’s resource pack system should be unified to match Java Edition’s as closely as possible. It would allow an easy transfer of skill from one edition to another, and porting wouldn’t be as much of a hassle.

I was playing solo with multiplayer off, and for the first time in 6 years while playing minecraft on bedrock, after an autosave my world mysteriously turned invisible, turned to black and pink checkers, and shut down. The world was fine, but regardless it's an issue that isn't to say it won't happen again. I may not be so lucky as to keep my world uncorrupted, or anything else. They haven't cared much for quality control on bedrock and it's a shame.

This is actually double bad for me on an iPad. My device is pretty old and there is a significant lag in player movement but affects me minimally cuz that’s almost how smooth my game is normally. What else is bad with this update is that they changed how command blocks work, now if there is a tick delay on the command blocks, the ticks can only execute when it is only powered for that amount of time. Before, the game would count when it at least received power, now it won’t activate if the source is taken away, this broke MANY maps.

I have never had the pink glitch and that’s probably because I play on an iPad. My friend has had the steve glitch a lot of times. Also the choppy player glitch has not affected my game. Also I think the reason it’s not affecting my game is because I haven’t updated it. Also I’m gonna wait till it’s fixed and then I will update it.

You do have some very valid points. But as a developer (not on minecraft (at least not yet)), I can see how this movement bug could go completely unnoticed through testing and betas. Multiplayer game play, in particular, competitive multiplayer game play is difficult to test. Just one reason I can think of is that testers usually aren't competitive gamers, and pass and fail on a test generally needs to be something objective (although its quite common to raise concerns that aren't part of the test criteria). What I think this highlights is that you can't really play minecraft in a competitive multiplayer situation in the betas. And that is something I think could help avoid this sort of situation in the future. Imagine if Minecraft Preview, could to connect to a Hive Preview server. Actual players playing against other actual players would likely have detected this issue early.

But from what i've seen from your videos, PC players really do have a lot inconveniences to deal with, when playing on multiplayer servers. To be fair alot of online games from minecraft to Elder Scrolls Online to FO76 all have massive bugs that make it thru the beta testers. But as I have explained it to players and companies. When they only allow small groups of players on the servers aren't being worked hard unlike on regular servers were you have hundreds of players on 1 server. So alot of the bugs don't show up till there released onto the masses then all the problems appear. I play on Xbox one I didn't really have any major issues till today after buying some new worlds I'm suddenly hard crashing all the time witch is screwed up given I'm on the server solo.

Unrelated but on what version of mc can i play on servers bc sometimes i get the latest version and i can't acces the servers and sometimes get the old version and it doesn't work so can someone help me find what version of mc where i can play on servers

My brother actually encountered the pink glitch a little bit,some of the textures became pink on the title screen. Luckily it wasnt bad but it was weird asf

Even in single player I'll be playing fine but then the screen freezes until a random time than I have a few seconds and it constantly repeats until I restart the game and it still repeats the issue.

this is SUCH an annoying bug. I was half way through my best video yet, with cinematics, now all the kb and movement suck. Hive isn’t even fun imo with such bad movement. Completely agree so many of these points, extremely accurate as usual potato

I think my biggest worry is the movement bug could become a permanent bug that sticks around forever like pink glitch

The reason pink glitch and the movement bug are deferent, Is the movement glitch is not just on hive but on anything multiplayer but as for the pink glitch, it was mainly a hive thing.

Skins I use, custom or store bought they won’t show for others on servers I join. I use bedrock on a cross play server and everyone can’t see my skin. Is there a way to fix this? I play on surface go and a fellow bedrock player on the server plays on the Nintendo switch, their skin seems to show for everyone just fine :(

You missed a Major BUG that I think people arent realizing, 1.18.10 all the sudden Structures arent generating. Desert Temples, Jungle Twmples, Witch Huts and Igloos GONE. How did they miss this. Such a big part of minecraft and when you generate a new world in 1.18.10 where there used to be structures on previous versions now theres nothing. Kevin

It came with another bug which was basically just the easier and worse version of the bug they fixed (furnace xp glitch)
