For minecraft stuff I'd recommend LukeTheNotable's "Surviving X days in hardcore minecraft series". Along with others who've evolved the idea like Forgelabs who did it in the mod pack "RLcraft" (claimed to be the hardest modpack), his most recent video was a non-rlcraft 100 days survival challange with a few mods on a desert island he actually partially designed himself. Theres also Socksfor1 who has a hardcore series with many, many mods, plus other non-hardcore series with literally thousands of mods.

I don’t know how many people actually remember that when she says “minecraft got me where I am today” she literally means it. I remember back when I was a kid, Jaiden was someone who made animations for a minecraft KZbinr named Cupquake where she would take clips from her modded series and just draw them in her style. And when she saw people really like it, she decided to make her own channel. It really is kinda amazing to see how far she’s come since then

One of my favorite jokes from the stream she just barely didn't include. When he starts mining the first diamonds, he awkwardly asks ”What’s your heritage?” and while she’s answering you can see on his cam him cringing at what he just said. That first biome they landed in was the basalt delta. A haunting biome that is really dangerous because there are death drops and lava everywhere, but it also has beautiful music and really neat ambient noise. Honestly, I disagree on the new Nether still being awful. There's a lot of block diversity, interaction with new mobs...

Jaiden's Minecraft vid was probably the most awkward video I've ever been able to sit through without pausing once. I'm horrible with "Awkward" being portrayed, often pausing and needing a break if seeing it, but here, like... she's so unintentionally awkward while Carson's trying to BE intentionally awkward to make her feel _less_ awkward, that the two somehow cancel each other out, leading back to their talk being a "wholesome" and "cute" conversation.

the minecraft you experienced was most probably the trial version. the earliest minecraft snapshots were kind of like it, digging to lava (there were no caves back then), really basic gameplay. but it was not creative only, however, trial version was exactly that.

One time i played too much assassin's creed and every surface i saw i thought "i wonder if altair could climb that". Funny thing. Years ago my younger sister introduce me to this game. Keep in mind I'm 10 years older then her. We were sharing an account in creative mode, since she is using my gaming PC. First we did was making a tunnel. Didn't even bother making a house until a month later. :D - It was only last year I starting in survival. Still haven't finish the game since I kept restarting it to a new world, because of the exploration. - I only recently figure out the mechanics due to watching Wattles, and Pixlriffs videos, since I have more time to watch due to quarantine. Not sure if you’ve received other comments on this, but somewhere around 20:40 ish when you were talking about using coords in the Nether, since the Nether follows different rules than the “regular” world for Minecraft (ex: traveling one block in the Nether is the equivalent of 8 “real world” blocks), maps don’t work so I honestly don’t know if you can use coords in the Nether. That is a good idea though if you can and I certainly don’t think writing them down takes away from the “exploration” aspect since you’re just traveling back a way you already came and not doing any new exploring.. kinda

@@YoBGS Usually how it goes, PCs tend to have more general processing power and so get much nicer graphics. I could be wrong though, since for a while I only played on XBox360, and now can only play on my brother's Switch. I usually watch Minecraft vids on YT, and most vid makers use Java editon (easier to record, _and_ they can mod), so I know there's several differences. My main reason for thinking it's Vanilla is because if Jaiden hasn't played in a long time, I highly doubt she's very into the mod scene, and would probably want to "win" without any handicaps or crutches (beyond Carson's aid). It'd be awesome to see her (and maybe you too 3:D) play *RL-Craft.* Especially if we could see it animated in Jaiden's style.

The game you used to play was probably what is now known as "Minecraft Classic" It's essentially creative mode, but as the whole game and was developed before what is now known as "Minecraft Java Edition". (Both used to be called "Minecraft" in their time) Classic also had a very limited world size. Water and lava physics were very different, as well. There was no flowing water - water made new source blocks everywhere. If you placed a water block at the top of the world, it would literally flood the entire world. Sponges were a thing (which were introduced to Java edition WAY late) used to protect against water griefers. They didn't turn into wet sponge, they literally just prevented water from existing in a radius around them.

@@YoBGS Nah, Beta had survival. Classic is it's own thing Indev, infdev, alpha, beta and the current java edition are where survival was introduced and create got re-introduced at some point.

If I may, I recognise some of the 'tubers here 4:29, so.... *Arlo,* the blue furry dude, makes Nintendo related discussion videos and loves Pikmin. *Scott the Woz,* we all know Scott, video-games and comedy skits are his thing. *Vannamelon,* the green girl, ngl, don't know her but she was in the comments of Jaiden's video, heh... *Gaijin Goomba,* holding the goomba with glasses, content is mainly based on seeing how videogames represent traditional Japanese culture and myths, I believe. *Bob-omb Buddy,* I know him, I know him, but I don't remember his name and it's really bothering me. And then I recognised Jacksepticeye falling down the hole, but I don't know the Unus Annus guy, though I recognise those words.

@@YoBGS If you don't have gold bars with you, piglins are aggressive. Netherite, the new nether material, is hard to find and to make the netherite ingot you first need to bake the fragments you find and then combine them with gold. Ok, they found a further use for gold, but the new nether is really complex.

2:54 it probably was around the alpha stages. There were no survival that time and there's a limited amount of blocks present that time. The game was even dubbed as the 'cave game' 5:40 Relax dude. A quick google search or a minecraft wiki article about the said thing will widen your smarts about the game mechanics. Heck even spark you an original idea no one has ever made. 11:12 It's the basalt deltas. No mobs other than Magma cubes and Ghasts spawn there. 12:05 The nether has been more fun (at least for me). My favourite biome is the warped and crimson forests. Warped forest (green forest with purple fog) is the most peaceful biome since only enderman spawn in there and crimson forest (red forest with crimson fog) spawns me piglins to trade gold with. 13:13 They're called 「zombified piglins」now. They don't aggro like their non-zombified counterparts that aggro when you don't have at least 1 gold armour equipped. 16:31 Beds: if you're not careful enough, you might blow up your teammate and yourself. Snowballs: They're hard to find especially there's no snowy tundra or a mountains biome to collect them. Also the projectile trajectory of snowballs is different from arrows. They lose altitude very quickly and are unpredictable where they land 18:20 OR they could hire a cleric villager by putting a brewing stand and trading until it has the ender pearl trade, mixed with a fletcher villager to trade sticks for emeralds is also an effective way to get pearls 22:54 Axes in java edition are slower than swords but with equal enchantment levels (a sharpness 3 to a sharpness 3) they both deal the same damage per second (including crits)

Since a few days I wanted to beat minecraft but died in the nether so often, that I started to focus on blood sacrifices... ok that startet way before the nether (It was the reason I started in the first place), but since then I can build a tower out of blood and souls... I have a skull throne too :) BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD. SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
