Thes looked so neat in darkness. I'm not sure I like the clouds tho. I usually use comlimentary shaders. so maybe I'm just so used to them so everything looked odd in the daylight. But I think the new caves look SOOOOOO pretty with this! Like I really want to just explore them without putting any torches down in fear of breaking the mood. So amazing!!

around 2015 i watched some minecraft animations and song parodies and they were full of realistic shadows and effects, i didn't think we will have shaders (rtx/voxel) that represents those effects in game

Mostly default, I think I only turned on handheld lighting and messed around a little with the settings, they're all pretty straight forward, so best is to try them out yourself and see what you like

ur ancient city was so ultra easy, most of the shreikers and sensors are not there, the real ancient cities are truly infested with shrekers, I mine over a stack of them in 1 city and around 6 stacks of sensors

What kind of specs are you using tk run this? My pc seems pretty good but rethinking voxels shaders only run at about 20-30 FPS, even with my settings on low and render distance too. Also, I found optifine makes it run smoother than sodium/iris which is thought was weird.

If sodium and iris aren’t helping then I’m not sure what’s going on. I do have a 3070 and an i5 though. Maybe try allocating more ram and running sodium again. I see like double the frames when compared to optifine

Do you know how to fix the light shaft problem in caves? Sometimes there are just light shaft coming from nowhere. Idk how to explain but I think its the light from the sun.

It’s a common issue I’ve dealt with a lot. you can expand the shadow distance or the voxelization distance but at the cost of performance. Hopefully it gets patched soon but for now it’s still in beta so we’ll just have to wait

In my experience it doesnt work too well if you use rubidium and oculus, try optifine if you're on forge or switch to fabric and use sodium and iris.

How does your PC run this shader pack at such a stable frame rate? Your specs must be incredible cause when I use this shader pack even at such a low render distance it’s quite laggy, and I have some above average specs- at least I think so. 😮😅😂

Sodium and Iris + low render distance and shadow distance. It doesn’t show in the video because I’m underground but I had my render distance at like 10 I think

A mid tier graphics card, a good CPU, and a 16+ gigs of ram should be more than enough. Use sodium for an fps boost and you should be good. I have a 3 year old 3070 and a 5 year old i5 and I was able to make this vid no problem

Yes but no, If you can run complementary reimagined then you should be able to run rethinking voxels. But you will see a 10-20 Fps drop depending on your pc.

Why does the video quality looks horrible? I think it's not from you unfortunately but from KZbin who compress the video but we can't really see the lighting effects (I tried the shader so I know what's I'm saying)
