Counter argument for funzies: 1.) The vanilla structures are boring as hell and I appreciate seeing more stuff clattered about in the world. Plus vanilla generation isn't that amazing anyway. I like having more structures. Sometimes it seems like we have no villages within a good distance to spawn and things can get very empty. I like having more to the world in that way and the cats… they look like something creepers should want to avoid.

The thing is that addons are paid, but mods CANNOT BE paid because Microsoft basically said so and can sue you for pay walls just like with the Physics mod Pro. This just makes me sick. A company worth 3.47 trillion dollars creates something that IS behind paywalls, which sometimes cost as much as half the price of Minecraft. I wonder how much percent Microsoft takes from creators of these addons.

The reason they prohibit content being sold outside of the game is because Java server owners were selling content to kids and exploiting them. Blame server owners because this was a thing long before Microsoft bought the game.

Ok first of all, its not *just* an addon. Its a mashup pack. Meaning addon, texture pack, skins, and a world templete. While yes the generation of the world *is* random. That doesnt make it an addon because it cannot be applied to existing worlds. Even if you could, the custom structures and vfx wouldnt be added to the world.

Actually no, it's something new entirely called a dynamic world. It's a texture pack and add-on mixed together. You can apply the texture pack to other worlds which does include the animations but not all of the vfx. No mashup packs involved with this

thats actually just wrong. addons are atleast behavior packs, but when it does have a resource pack it does not stops being an addon. this is called a mashup only because its not restricted just to an addon, as it gives you not only in-world changes, but also skins and other stuffs. you can use resource and behavior packs separately in most addons, even tho most of the time they wont work alone. and i say this as an old bedrock player, who has been a member of the modding community for years.

That's literally what I said in the comment. I think it should eventually get its own category as a dynamic world though. But until then its a mashup

This is definitely a gamechanger, i just wonder if more players will finally be ok with running a realm with such a pack. So many players have been averse to textures like Mizuno before (even though it looks really good). Maybe the thing that will help players want to make the switch with this are the close-to-Vanilla textures

I got it, it doesn't make extra lag, it is so immersive, and you can put other mods and adds on it. Worth the amount paid and I am a cheapskate 😂. Well worth it.

Tested on the switch and to my around 6 hours of gameplay it runs pretty good. So if you have a switch go for but if you have console or a windows pc play it on that instead. But I like playing it on switch. It's fun.

I remember when bedrock had slightly different lighting for different biomes and those shaders worked with some texture packs to do fun stuff for the old haloween world. I used to love that. If this is the closest will get to that again I don’t mind. This feels like the upgrade Minecraft needs with the tweaks to sounds and more purely decorative blocks. And the world feels more lived in and liveable in. I’d love to see what hermitcraft or similar groups would do with something like this.

So before I yap I want to let you know that its fixed now, so I bought the mash up a while ago so I loaded up a new creative world to look around and I realized that there was no structures or most of the stuff in the pictures. So last night I was toying with it and I figured out that I had to make the new world through the mashup. And what I mean by that is you go to the store and go to My Content and then go to the mashup and create the world from there

If anyone is going to comment about how mojang won't change the games performance because they're "lazy" don't. Minecraft runs terribly because it's only built to take advantage of one CPU core unlike more modern games which takes advantage of more. Updating the game to use more cores would require a rewrite of all the games code which I think they should do but understand why they're hesitant because that would take years and cost millions of dollars.

Don’t worry, you just need to use the world template by selecting create this world on the mash up in the marketplace. For being a world template it always has randomly generated, infinite seeds.

You can add the texture pack, which will give you the animations and (you guessed it) the textures, but for everything else, like the weather effects, the terrain generation and all the actually cool stuff you have to make a new world
