I think the tree looks great so far, and I think it can look great in several other versions too. Therefore, I think it would be a super pro move, if Bdubs made this tree change with the seasons. Like every episode it would change slightly, like leaves being added, changing colours, or falling off, making the tree feel even more alive and realistic. This is actually a concept I’ve been wanting to see a Hermit do for a while now. And I think Bdubs would be the perfect candidate for it.

I was going to say, the tree looks like an oak. Hardwood trees come in two basic branch configurations. Alternate branches like the one you build where you, have branch and then move up a little and there's a branch on the other side. Then there's opposite, branches always grow in pairs. Maples and Ash trees are always opposites, so it gives them a distinctive look.
@robertperschau591011 ай бұрын
also many pines and other conifers have a whorled configuration, where many branches will emerge in regular intervals going up the trunk, or move upwards in a spiral pattern that tapers towards the top

Bdubs, I work in treecare and think that tree looks fantastic and realistic. Something I commonly see with large old oaks and elms is defects and wounds that the trees have healed around and learned to live with. Makes the 150-300 year old trees have tons of character and scars from storms past taking limbs off. Its very rare to fins a tree that old and mighty without some sort of scar or wound it has learned to live with. I think your tree looks great as is, just a thought on a way to make it extra unique and give it some history.

Thanks for the early access! I like the way you used trapdoors on your deck so you can see the ground beneath like a real deck! And the tree looks like a grand old oak tree should in February. You should slowly start adding buds and leaves to it in Spring. It’s a beauty.

The soundscape, the shot composition, and the almost airy nature of this video gave it such a unique tone and feeling. In the beginning I was feeling 'Wizard of Oz', then started getting vibes of a Miyazaki film such as 'Kikis Delivery Service' or 'Spirited Away', by the end I was completely enraptured and understanding it as its own piece of media. Bdubs, you're always an artist, and this video is a testament to that fact, I will always love your energy, complimentative behaviour and build-up style of social play. P.S. idk if it needs leafs, the vibe of a temperate grassland in late autumn or early winter sounds extremely idyllic but not one seen in minecraft often.

The whispering as Bdubs looked at the sunset what the HAY was that. Also, I adore how much love and attention Bdubs gives to his builds. That tree... You can tell the love he put into it. About trees being grey, I actually realized it when I was little. I was walking back from primary school when I saw the trees around me and thought "but they're grey... Why do we paint them brown?" but chalked it up to the tree type that I see vs the trees from the northern hemisphere. And yes, some trees are browner, but always wondered why we write them off as brown when most weren't oh- oh it just hit me. We think of them as brown because the inside is brown. So we think logically the bark should be brown too, but nope. Anyway, rooting for you Bdubs! Really hope you win! Although False's technique of not logging in may help her in that aspect. Still. You can do it!

If you’re really interested in different types of trees: I’d recommend a podcast: Completely Arbortrary! Regular guy talks about trees with an Aeborist. Every episode is a different species of tree! For if you want something while building :)

30:07 So excited to see what you guys will do with the river front. A dense urban jungle, the river encased in concrete with buildings right on the embankments, some buildings maybe spanning across the waters. And I think a grid of streets and pedestrian pathways intersecting the natural flow of the river at right angles would be a great contrast.

Bdubs! Truly love and enjoy your cinematic edits. It has a very different classic 70-80s feel which is fabulous. If there were an Academy Award for best Minecraft editing you surely deserve one. More power to you and bless you and your family ❤🧡💛💚💙🤎💜

i actually think that you should LEAF the tree, how it is tbh. i think it looks really cool together with your house and also trees with leafs are done so much, so this would be a nice change

Love the tree! It reminds me of some of the spruce and fir trees where I live (which can grow to well over 100 feet). May I suggest you use a mix of spruce and birch leaves sparingly, and that you put a mixture of glow lichen and hanging roots to give it the needled leaves appearance. If you want, you could replace some of the blocks near the top with jungle logs and stick cocoa pods on it to look like pine cones! Finally, if you replace the grass and dirt beneath it with podzol and plant nether sprouts sporadically atop that, it will look like the tree has shed needles littering the ground beneath it. Of course, you have your own plan, I'm sure, but I figured I should mention this anyway. 🐍 Also, that is a great alarm system, Bdubs! Taking advantage of chunk loading as an alert system is brilliant!

I believe that he's going for a more oak appearance (as the branches are arranged so far), but I agree with your choices of blocks. I believe that glow lichen would look best on the lower tree itself (like actual lichen), and possibly hanging roots to simulate dead twigs. Good ideas though!

I always feel so inspired when I watch your videos! I always feel excited to build every time I see them, and this one is no different.

a good way to protect against trapped chest/others is to make them float so no redstone can be around your stuff.
@JacksonOwex11 ай бұрын
That's not entirely true anymore though! Skulk Sensors can be used to make wireless redstone, so opening the chest would activate the sensor which could activate TNT or other trap!
