Minecraft Legends Challenge Map! ▫ How To Beat Lost Legends: The Portal Pile

Minecraft Legends is the new Minecraft spin-off game from Mojang Studios and Blackbird Interactive! In this 'Action Strategy' game, players rally mobs from the overworld to face off against the Piglin Horde (and sometimes each other), save the world, and become a legend!
In this video we take a look at the free challenge map "The Portal Pile", which can be downloaded from the Marketplace and played with up to 4 players in the "Lost Legends & Myths" mode. This short challenge throws 20 waves of increasingly difficult Piglin units at you in a Tower Defense style map. You have 30 seconds to prepare for each wave, earning new upgrades and extra resources the longer you survive.
My first couple of attempts had a steep learning curve, but by the third attempt I had found a winning formula - so this video will show you how to beat The Portal Pile map in single player if you're having trouble finding the right strategy.

I like how theres potential to solo this, but clear intent to have a team working together. I hope future maps have more interesting ways of splitting the work load than "theres a lot of dudes and not much time for prep". Really gald the dev team seems to be listening to a lot of feedback, at least from the responses on twitter

My strategy is to build the towers compactly, that way your kaboomery, masonry and battle drum are better

@@thenamesandounts9807 because that's not something that's done any more in most cases. A lot of very smart people did a lot of research into why MTX work, and that's why it's here. Plus, it's fairly evident from this video that you can still complete specific processes to unlock customisation options anyway

I beat it by just spamming arrow towers, I put down some of the upgrade structure like the masonry and spyglass to make them better but otherwise just the arrow towers

Hiya Pixlriffs! You do a good job of introducing the game, and it seems like a very speedy game. I just can tell you I have absolutely no desire to play that. There are already so many out there that have kind of game play experience. War is not fun, or entertaining. People are better off learning real life skills because sticking your head in the sand won't work forever. When society fails to protect our children.. ask those in Ukraine. But by all means keep sales going. This is just another step to ruining Minecraft taking it from a game of choices with creativity to just out right wars. The money makers of the world sale destruction, and enjoy making minions think their life is exciting. :| Thanks!

I'd like to invite you to examine how you cite Ukraine as an argument here, but see no value in Minecraft Legends' core story about a peaceful land rising up to defend itself against an invasion. You're welcome to your opinion on whether the gameplay appeals to you, of course, but I think it's a little absurd to write off any large-scale video game conflict as 'war for entertainment', especially in a game with a heavy fantasy theme and a narrative which revolves around self-defense, environmental preservation, and standing up against military power.

This game is fantasy, you realize none of it is war, and the whole thing is cartoony, right? You can get killed by a creeper in Minecraft too, that isn't glorifying death and bombings, it's a game where there's a challenge. People can learn real life skills and enjoy their lives playing games they have fun with, and it's okay if you don't like the game, but don't impose that on other people.
