I do appreciate compliments BUT, keep in mind that we Modders have much more room to work in than actual devs have. Sometimes the concept even works just as a mod and not as vanilla feature, I've seen for example a trampoline mod (not slime block), or mod with actual dinosaurs called Fossils and Archeology. All that makes nice fan mods but wouldn't fit when it would be actual vanilla feature that much.

Don't know exactly but there will be huge variety of it. RN I'm working on just a part of the mod about these bugs. Then I will eventually update the mod further with more and more content. SPOILER ALERT: My first mod version will start with critters from tropical africa and madagascar.

How do you code these things into the game with unique animations and behaviors?

I follow the KaupenJoe's modding tutorials. Can recommend these. You just need to understand all the coding, but after that, you'll be able to mod stuff.
