Bit late to comment, but for anyone who was curious, the easy build is surprisingly survival-friendly! I put one at the entrance to my base in a survival desert world - works like a charm and you can also trap zombies in it and crush them which is great fun. And you can put a lever on the other side as well - just mirror the block with the lever on the main side and then don't add a slab above it. Works like a treat, so long as you don't care which way the levers are pointing when the door is open/closed!

How do you have time to make everything so compact!?! You’re the only redstone youtube channel that I’ve ever seen (java and bedrock) that makes sure every build is as compact as it can be. Other channels go for the cool factor, and make 20x20 piston doors that are whole Minecraft houses wide, but you have always made sure we can actually fit the build in our base. Thanks for the mind blowing tutorial!

@@noahhoobles7161 yeah sure, sooo from the chest (where the key card gets put in after going through the filter) you take a comparator output from that... Run the comparator into a block with a torch on it so the signal is on when there is no key card in the system. Then just run Redstone dust from that torch into the block where the lever goes 👍🏻😁
