Legacy console isn’t included with Minecraft on the PS4, you had to have owned it before the changeover or have a disk for PS4 edition.

It actually is a lot faster than the ps4 version for example if you take an elytra and fly as fast as possible in a single direction you'll constantly run into "walls" of unloaded chunks but on the ps5 version you could fly as fast as possible without ever running into unloaded chunks

My question is right, because the trophies for minecraft on PlayStation still say minecraft ps4 edition, with the ps4 label. That’s important because ps5 games specifically have a ps5 label. So once the ps5 version with the ps5 label releases will it have a new set of trophies? And if so, will all the expansion packs, 18 of them be counted to the platinum.

You know it would be better if they instead took a pause in update and got deep into reversing old java and bedrock code to truly understand the differences and then fix it, instead they start pushing even more updates deviating bedrock and java even more. PS: Its been two years since someone built functional redstone computer on bedrock. I don't think they will ever fix all the desync issues. Bedrock runs well but it's useless when it's riddled with bugs.

The thing they haven't fixed yet with bundles is the fact that the bundles that have other bundles in them freezes the game for a few seconds every time you hover over them (on lower end devices) I just hope they notice it before the update releases so you can store storage in your inventory without hoping your game doesn't crash on a previous gen console

To the people asking about a native Series X|S version, it isn’t happening. All of the improvements coming to the PS5 version were already added to the Xbox One version of the game back in December 2023. The PS5 isn’t getting anything special that Xbox doesn’t already have. It’s not native Xbox Series X|S app, it still runs via the Xbox One version. But if you’re playing on Series X|S, all the same improvements of the PS5 version are already available. The amount of people who aren’t aware of this and think the PS5 version is getting some big leap that Xbox isn’t is shocking to me. And I fully believe that Mojang should communicate with their community better in regard to this stuff.

That’s basically impossible, Mojang removed the PDB files that allow for Bedrock mods to be made. Also, Java edition is written with the Java programming language which means mods are written in Java too. Bedrock is written in C+ which means mods must be written in C++, and with the removal of PDB files making mods is now impossible. Java and C++ are two very different programming languages.

PS4 Games running on PS5 are NOT emulated, they run natively, although they dont usually utilize the full power of the PS5. Select games however can utilize the PS4 Pro Mode or also selectively sometimes feature a "PS5 Mode". Take Horizon Zero Dawn, there are technically three Versions of this PS4 Game, one for the base PS4, PS4 Pro and then a special performance profile when running on the PS5, to utilize 4k at 60fps. Im not expecting more from the Native PS5 version of minecraft then 4k60 at a higher view distance, i doubt they will put in extra effort to utilize the dualsense, although id love to be wrong here.

@@joshua.-927 oh alright, I’ll explain it then. A PS5 version is being made because PS5 Minecraft players actually want Minecraft to utilise the PS5’s hardware and make the game run better than the PS4 version. That’s the simple way of putting it.
