For 1.18 on a realm, i had the issue of shulkers teleporting to the activator rail and stopping the mine-carts every time i turned the farm on. This is a problem for a lot of people here too by the sounds of it. TO FIX IT: i tried everyones tips by placing string above every rail in the nether, replacing the slabs for the activator rail and powered rail in front of the wither rose with magma blocks (with buttons of-course) and placed a slab above the activator rail. I also tried just using one mine-cart. These were all solutions that worked for others but not for me, UNTIL i sent the minecarts in a clockwise direction instead. It now works! if you are having the same issue and no other fixes work try sending the minecarts the opposite direction Upvote so others can see, it was very frustrating for a while.

10:54 this might be confusing some folks since he also mentions the coordinates later, but make sure you write down the X and Z coordinates, Y is just the height and happens to be the same number (with flipped sign). same when centering the coordinates on the nether roof then, make sure you move to 1/8 of X and Z coordinates. :D

farm still works in 1.19.2, just make sure to read the comments under "top comments", which mention things like placing buttons on all the edges of the glass, and every face of the obsidian used for the 4 big nether portals. also send your minecarts clockwise instead of counterclockwise as this fixes it in the newer versions. also MAKE SURE YOUR SHULKER IS FULLY HEALED WHEN IT GOES INTO THE GLASS. if not, it will just teleport without duplicating.

if you have two minecrarts, sometimes they will bounce off eachother or stop eachother wich will cause in them both not moving, u can fix this problem with only having one minecart and it works just as good!

Great tutorial as always. Easy to follow. In my experience, the farm produced so many shulkers that the nether side could not keep up. Shulkers kept teleporting to the activator rail (I didn't realize this was possible) and stopping the carts. This is on a server mind you. Placing just 1 minecart rather than 2, reduced the likelihood of the farm getting stuck but obviously slows the processing rate down.

There is 1 slight issue with the overworld portals, as in rare cases, the shulkers will teleport onto the portal frames and shower the area in projectiles, causing the farm to break frequently (every few shulkers). Best way to fix is coat the frames with buttons.

FARM FIX!!! I had a problem where the shulker instantly teleported away. A quick read of the wiki later, and apparently shulkers with less than half health have a 25 percent chance to teleport away without leaving a new one where it was before teleporting. So if the shulker got damaged while transporting, you need to heal it with splash health pots. If you already built the farm, you just have to place buttons on the sides of the glass, or the easy way, just break it and bring another shulker like they do in the tutorial.

I just tested this in single player on 1.19.2 and if you don't have access to wither roses you can actually use entity cramming to kill them instead. Simply drop 24 mine carts on the dirt block from above (take a block above it, place 24 minecarts on the same rail, and then break the rail and the new block). As a bonus, it actually kills the shulkers considerably faster than the rose, too

I seem to have some issues with this farm in 1.18, the shulkers can teleport to the activator rail block (didn't happen in 1.17.1), but i found a way around the issues (still testing but so far so good), replace the powered rail slab (one in front of the dirt block with wither rose on it) and the activator rail slab, and replace with Magma Blocks, the put the rails back, seems to prevent them teleporting on top of the activator rail

the thing is, I've built almost all your videos in hardcore (the only glitch I used is the infinite tnt) and this one I cannot wait to do. @@welpimbad is it not teleporting into the farm initially? If it’s at that point, I had to remove any blocks around the area that were even remotely close to the build, so I was chopping trees down left and right. Any solid block it can teleport to apart from in the farm needs to go

Honestly, this farm really sucks when it comes to replacing the shulker. There are other farms that give the same yield but actually are easy to get the shulker back.

If you have a nether star afk farm under the end portal, make sure to cover all the walls, grounds and ceilings with button. I was suffering with that, so I hope this will help. Also,if you need two times or three times of efficiency, just build more same thing above the lowest farm. But this would require a better killing area in the nether, such as 24 minecart entity crashing method.

I added a secondary rail system with a dispenser leading to the main rail system. So just in case if the two minecarts break, I can easily add them again from a distance, so the shulkers dont attack me. Kinda like this one at 19:32 but leading to the main rail system instead of a portal. Also, if you are playing on 1.18, the shulkers will get ejected on the activator rail instead of the wither rose. To fix this, just make the minecarts go CLOCKWISE instead of COUNTER-CLOCKWISE. This change doesn’t affect the rates.

IMPORTANT: This will most likely not work on paper. About 2 weeks ago i fully built 3 different shulker farms, with none of the duped shulkers teleporting to the kill chamber and the middle shulker kept disappearing. I built ilmangos farm and same problem. Ilmangos farm worked perfectly after switching from paper to fabric :) just throwing that out there if its the same issue with this design

Very important, the instructions just say "building block" but they need to be transparrent, like glass or leaves else the shulkers will teleport to them

I followed the video exactly, and it worked! Just remember when trying to get the shulker in the end portal, try to have a piston going down into the end portal and have that space below the piston as the only option for the shulker to teleport to. Someone suggested practicing in a creative world, that really help me learn how to get the shulker to the overworld. 😁

This is amazing, thoug even in multiplayer world, I’ve never needed more than 5 or 6. For storage I just go crazy on the chests. When I get far enough, I keep “wallets” in my end chest and that’s about it. I empty pockets back at home base. Thanks for cool tutorial.

For those having issues with the shulker disappearing, shut off the farm with the lever before entering the nether. i've found the shulker disappears out of the farm when the play enters the nether without shutting the farm off

Tip, make sure you don't forget the banner, without it the snow golems will shoot the shulker projectile and break it before it can hit the shulker again and spawn a new one. Took me a while to figure out why mine wasn't working but it works great now, and this will provide my server with all the shulker boxes we will probably ever need. Thanks guys, keep it up!!!

I built this farm but I'm running into the issue that the shulker either kills itself or it teleports itself out of the middle and onto the wall. Its not that it runs for a bit and then happens its always soon as I turn it on. The shulkers in the right spot and everything else is built the same so I'm absolutely confused. Anyone can tell me with the backup shulker? Do they automatically attached themshelves there? And if the main shulker died, do we just need to deliver the backup shulker to the portal and they will automatically placed into the main shulker's spot? Thanks!

the snow golems killed my guy in like the first 5 seconds of the farm. i had 8 in the hole and one did teleport to the nether but then the main shulker died in the farm... how does the shulker in the farm stay alive for so long? should i use 1-3 snow golems? any help would be greatly appreciated!

Snow golems didn't killed the shulker. Snow golems don't deal damage at all. When the shulker have less health after hitting itself, it will teleport to the glass wall and to the nether where it gets killed.
