My money is on the "Etho forgot" theory (after all, it was from 2014), but the modpack also contains Ex Compressum, which contains (get this) compressed crooks and compressed sieves that process compressed gravel, compressed sand, and compressed dust. Either way, the whole party needs to start learning the ropes.

Two things, Etho: 1) If you make a crook (four sticks in an upside down L) you can harvest leaves with a chance to get silkworms. If you infect other leaves, those worms will turn the leaves white, and once the process is at 100% you can crook those leaves for string. and 2) you three should really play Agrarian skies II together

So you guys should make a wooden crook and break leaf blocks with it. Once you get a silkworm, place it in a leaf block of a tree and wait for it to be infested completely. Then use the crook to harvest string from the leaves. Using the crook on leaves increases the chance to drop string or more worms, or more saplings if the leaves are not infected. The whole modpack relies on Ex nihilo so you may want to watch a quick tutorial. Also sieve is pronounced siv. Thats not related it was just bothering me lol.

Make a wooden "Crook" and break some leaves till a silk worm drops. Right Click the silk worm on a leaf block and let it take over the entire tree. Break those white leaves with a crook for string!

You can make a "wooden crook". That will increese the chanse of saplings dropping when you break leaves with it. You also have a small chanse of getting a silk worm. Just right click on any leaf block on a tree with the silkworm in your hand and the silkworm will start to infest the tree. Infested leaves drop string and have a high chanse of dropping more silkworms withch can also be coocked and eaten if you are desperate for food.

Too many things to say! Whenever you make a cobblestone generator make a simple mob farm asap. Their drops help a ton, and they drop loot bags. Also use the crook on the leaves for silk worms which you then use to put in the leaves and they turn white and give you string when broken with the crook. I've played skyfactory too many times I think.. lol

I think this must be 1 recording session but for the string etho, you forgot im sure... You can use crooks on leaves so that they drop more saplings AND most important silkworkms. You can right click the silkworm on the trees to infect them and they turn white once fully infected. After when you break the leaves you will get string from the trees much much easier than killing spiders. Hope you see this! SUPER excited for this i love Team Canada you guys are awesome

You should make a crook and use it to break leafs. That gives you better drop rates and also a chance for a silk worm. Then click the worm onto a leaf of a uncut tree. This will infect the tree which will give you a lot of string.

i love skyblocks and more if they have mods, this can be very good, but please, try to make a good looking island, i know is hard, and at the beginning is simply impossible to make one, but a lot of people just focus on one giant square of cobblestone that gets bigger and bigger, and in skyblock there are better looking options, i once took an aproach involving circular shaped islands connected with bridges and stairs and once you have 5 or 6 with different things in them is a great view.
