Instead of always going for the higher number, why not put a way to randomize, "Higher" or "Lower" so that Hermits who rarely kill mobs wouldn't lose every time.

That's the point of poker, though--you are betting that you have the best hand, and sometimes you gotta bluff it. Even if you may not have killed any cave spiders doesn't mean you can't win that round by bluffing

Maybe add a modifier, as in either “most” or “least” for each stat, just so people with a higher play time don’t have an unfair advantage? So it might be “least” items dropped or “most” schulker boxes opened, etc. this would add more randomness to the game.

To make it random- you should have a high low randomizer. That way you have a chance of winning against somehow just plays a ton.

Aw man, I know an insane crossbow strat for PvP. So, if you put Multishot on a crossbow, you can fire multiple arrows. From my testing, up to two arrows can hit the same target standing still. Arrows can be tipped with potions with cauldrons, making for easy potion arrows. Harming II potions of any kind ignore armor, and when put on an arrow, will still do the 6 hearts of damage a harming 2 potion does. Double arrows can do 12 hearts of true damage, so by going melee, you can one-shot someone with the shotgun strats, regardless of armor. Proof? I died in one shot even when I had diamond armor with good protection on it.

Coming back 3 years later to watch this legendary episode after the shorts Impulse, Scar, and Grian made playing a manual version… and then just today Solidarity Shorts uploaded a 28 minute “Short” playing another manual version on Empires with Gem, Sausage, and Katherine. As much fun as all that was, nothing beats the original super slick automated version, especially with Hermit stats lol

Hey Tango, First off, awesome idea! The ante usually goes to the house ;) . Then, the small and big blinds are what keeps players from folding every single time and never playing a hand. So put the ante very low to make a small profit off each game and introduce the blinds for the same reason you're using the ante now. Also, when a player says "I call" then they call, nothing more. So if a player wants to raise they should say "I raise", not "I call and I raise". Further, you can sell beverages (potions) and snacks (food items) to further increase profits ;) . Obviously, you should employ a bartender (villager/zombie pigman/chicken jockey/...)! Keep up the good work, it's great to see you collaborating with Etho! :D

Tango. I think I can smell a flaw in the game. If that so if all they need to do is to have the highest then the grindier or I should say the most will win. Well how about there is also a lowest variant. So that you can't cheese it and just grind for the stats. And it makes the game more random because you have the 2 possibility either it is higher or lower. Just a suggestion tho. HUHU. HEHE

that start makes me think of a cool game idea. A game where there are two teams of two. The only weapon is crossbows, and the idea is that only one person on each team can reload, and one person can shoot. This means that you need to protect your reloader, and the shooter needs to protect themselves.
