Nox 800 on 15" coil, Deus on the old 9" coil, so a fair test. Oh ye! But the Deus still kicked butt lol

Equinox 800 is stupid fast for a metal detector. Although considering all the advancements in microprocessors we have right now that should be the norm.

Its al personal preference. Had them both , just liked the deus more aince it is a more sharp , more practical detector with enough depth for my hunting . I did not like the equinox , I found out it gave nice signals even to bad stuff ( but hey it is just my experience ) probably due to my time stamp i gave it not enough time . Tests where one detector gets a particular signal while another does not says little about using these next to each other in the field for a day . If set up right the deus can hit deep targets . For wet sand ( salt beaches ) there is off course no contest and the equinox will run supreme .

@@NorfolkButtonBoyMetalDetecting To run the deus smoothly , or erratic is the first thing you need to ask yourself , i like it when i hear it all , chattering , spitting and sparkling.. instead of the equinox that run most of the time very smoothly accept for the false signals it can give on very questionable targets . The audio on the Equinox is his baddest point .. i can not really help you out with the Deus settings wise sinply because i do not know what you are looking for and where you look for them .. The Deus is a very very capable and complicated machine if you want and is settingswise hardly without borders . For my personal huntings i always use deus fast kind of progams that i tweak depending the soils and possible targets .. And most of them settings are coming more or less from Gary who is dominating you tube as far as xp deus .. The man is such a pro and i tested and tried almost everything he shared on his vids.. And since 9 outta 10 advices coming from him where working i know this man is pretty reliable 👌🏾 Good luck with both your detectors and please play enough with your Deus to get out the best if it . Equinox is deeper , that is a fact .. But audio wise and you can thrust me on that no matter your preferences.. The Deus is absolute a big step ahead . HH
