Great info and video as usual, But You need a part 2 for the testing. I would like to see some different aluminium trash ( anodized pull tabs) and bits of zinc ect. I have seen a few times with the manticore and D2 that with the larger TID they pull aluminum trash into the silver range, almost to the point of having to dig all that crap. Do you see a good separation with the 900 with aluminum (TID numbers)? I Know that there will always be some that fools you.

Nails are ringing up in the 50’s - low 60’s. Beer cans are ringing up in the low 70’s with a fantastic high tone.

I love doing air tests .ok, it won't be the same as targets in the ground, but if you're testing 2 different detectors, it will show you their compassions ,I tested the ctx 3030 and the nox on my preferred settings and it showed the nox 800 as being a few inches deeper on targets ,that's good enough for me ,we have also done ground tests which showed the same compassion

Testing will tell you a lot despite the accuracy. I love doing them as well.

So I hope this is a valid question I'm air testing my nox900 trying to learn coin and jewelry so most my numbers is off from yours with certain coinage. Are you running custom settings?

You said a "general flat button" rang up a 64, but what was the button made of? That would help. Brass maybe?

I believe you could hit some good down in that lower range but depending on what you are looking for you could notch them out. If you are looking for relics you may want to keep them in there.

It seems the 700 and 900 coin scale on VDI is less stretched out compared to the Manticore. Which with the noxs going to -19 you would of thought it to be the opposite. Thanks for both machines VDI numbers. While air test are not accurate they give you a darn close idea where things fall.

No, I was just curious because I've seen a canvas on another KZbin video ( not one of yours) were he was using one and worked well and kept park grounds looking great and Property owners yard. I was wanting to buy one with your logo, but if they dont exist I'll just make one but thanks for the reply.

I'm in park 1. Quarter should be 88/89. However it's all over the place 22 34 56 88. Is there supposed to be a update. I have the 800 also. Very calm solid hit. Tips?

Sensitivity too high? I have no idea what your conditions are (ground) to be able to give you a better answer.

The target ID's will change for sure with different programs - reason being each program uses a different "Blend" of frequencies.....some programs use more of the lower frequencies and some programs use more of the higher frequencies......Park 1 uses more of the lower frequencies for high conductive targets (silver/copper) and Park 2 uses more of the higher frequencies for the lower conductive targets (gold/lead/pewter) - Same thing with the Deus 2 programs.

Perhaps but a jump more than 2 numbers has me a little concerned. I think it will be fine in the field. I don't want to see what we saw the Deus 1 HF coil and no normal ID. That really fried my brain.

Multi frequency "must" give a different ID# on a target if the bandwidth of those frequencies change....Deus HF coils were single frequency but yeah I hated that ID normal as well and usually forgot to turn it off

The one reason I would buy this machine is because of the fact that it goes from 0 to 99 I believe you can hear a different in the tones what do you think?

The fact that target IDs can be spread out is a positive thing for me, plus faster separation and more depth. The signals will be cleaner and quieter but that all depends on your conditions too.

Anybody know someone who can help me set my equinox 900 up for hunting relics in woods and constructions sites in Central Virginia? It's my first detector since I was a teenager in the 90's and I have bo clue what I'm doing except for getting frustrated in the field with all the chatter... maybe from EMI and mineralization but most likely because I dont know how to set up or adjust for my environment..

If you want a much better machine that is next level then go with the Manticore. If your budget doesn't get you in the range of the Manticore then go with a much improved 900.

John air tests are not accurate they just get in the ball park. In the ground things will be different. I've had similar results doing air tests with all my machines over the years.

One thing I am disappointed about with minelab is the fact that instead of making what they have better and continuous updates, they ditch the machine only to redesign forcing the customer to buy new. People are saying oh minelab is so great they are the apple of metal detectors. They are not. If they were there would be continuous upgrades to the software. If you have a old IPHONE 11 it's upgradeable to the current software version. If you want to upgrade to new hardware is an option. If the 600 and 800 coils are compatible with 700 and 800 I would bet that the software would also be usable. I understand that they are out to make money. But for those saying minelab is the Apple 🍎 of metal detectors they are wrong. The only updates minelab ever made was to fix problems with their machines. Me personally I'll stick with a company that is always working to improve their current machine. XP is a fine example. Look at all the updates made for the original Deus. Also look at the legend. Continuous updates to improve performance and protecting the consumers investment. But on a positive note! Great video and thank you for putting your time into this!

But then Why is Notka Macro leaving the Simplex + without any more Updates and telling us to get the Next Generation of the Simplex and Why not do like your saying and give Us the Simplex + Updates , If there not trying to just sell more Detectors.... and that's why I'm going to get a Minelab Product and leave the Simplex+ to gather some dust and I have an email from Notka Macro saying that theirs no update for the Simplex but we have New Detectors for sale...... and that to me is Being Left Behind.....
