found your channel from a comment of yours on a shorts video 😄 definitely not regretted checking you out! the game actually looks really cool! heard about it before and seen a couple of videos but never seemed to give it a chance, with the mods looks cooler! should definitely try it out with those mods too earned a sub from me! 😄

Thanks for some great content, I myself have moved fully to Minetest because I only run Linux machines at home. I don't run Windows and I wasn't willing to open a Microsoft account when they messaged me telling me they were closing my Mojang account - so I just abandoned Minecraft completely, I only ever played the original "classic" Java version anyway. I have one question though - I have been playing Minetest with the Mineclone 2 add-on and that gives me a really good "Minecraft-like" experience, though it has some silly bugs. As I understand it, Mineclone 2 is a "meta-package" for a lot of the mods that you load in separately so both can't exist simultaneously - so what's your overall experience with Minetest and the mods you use? Because I like having the monster mobs at night time and in caves/dungeons but are there separate that puts those in vanilla Minetest?

As long as the Mineclone mods don't try to communicate with eachother, I think it's possible to use the Mineclone mobs in the base Minetest Game. I have tried in the past to only use a couple Mineclone mods in normal Minetest Game, but there's too much communication and dependency between the mods. I also think that there might be crashes because some mods will be searching for a biome which only exists in Mineclone, but not Minetest Game, for example the sheep spawn rules might cause a crash, because it's searching for a Mineclone plains biome, but you're actually playing vanilla Minetest Game, so it might not work. I tend to just stick with Minetest Game, then I build my experience off that using mods made for Minetest Game.

@@dee23gaming Thanks for that quick and concise response - Mineclone 2 has crashed a couple of times for me, usually when exploring new regions in a boat. And then there's the bug with hordes of sheep, cows , pigs and chickens hopping up and down on the ocean - but that means just going out and "culling" them every so often! But otherwise it's pretty good. I will take your advice and probably just install separate modules using your list as a good baseline, and just backup the Mineclone 2 config. Thanks again and I love the content with your dry humour - you do put a smile on my face!

Aquatic mobs in Minetest needs some significant help. I don't know why they behave so poorly, but it's probably because they are still land mobs at the core who have an extra axis of movement they can't figure out.

I think the fish don't know how to pathfind properly, and their "auto jump" is enabled, so they instantly beach themselves. Also they don't have a timer before they start taking suffocation damage.

@@dee23gaming yeah, they need to at least wait a minute like Minecraft. They may also be like Minecraft mobs where they want to pathfind to a solid block.

Mobs in Mineclone 2 on Minetest is one of my biggest annoyances - if you start building and settling by water, you eventually end up with hopping cows, pigs, sheep and chickens on the water out to sea.

I think this might be better than Roblox Studio. Maybe C++ is better than Lua (coding).

Both engines have their pros and cons. Roblox is better for more general purpose stuff, but requires online multiplayer.

My clicks and drags get canceled just like in your video. I thought it was my mouse, but it's actually a bug in our game! My fish also kill themselves. They leap out of the water and turn into the floating fish item.
