MINI BRAIDS ON FINE TYPE 4 NATURAL HAIR |

This is my first time putting mini braids in my fine type 4 natural hair. This is an excellent protective style. I plan on leaving them in at least for a month. I know the take down process is going to be insane but I am already mentally prepared for it ( so no need to worry).

I love mini braids. I have fine hair. Bur I held my breath in and got it done by a African braider. Straight from Africa. She braided every hair. I kept them in for 3 months. Washed and conditioned each week. My hair is long and thick now. I have it done 4 times. Each time it 20 more because of the growth. Ok. Get yr money. Mini braids are the best.

That’s all I wear is mini braids. Keeps my hair protected and I love the hang time! I used to get a weekly silk press and this style gives me similar results without heat damage. Your hair looks beautiful!

First I would suggest starting on blow dried hair (if you’re comfortable with that). Use a twist/braiding gel to help get the parts super neat. Also, I use two mirrors so I can double check my parts. Hope that helps! Good luck 😄👍🏾

Hi 👋🏾 So after I finished braiding my whole head, I added some gel just to the ends and twirled my finger on the ends of each braid. You could also use a curling cream.

Yeah, I get it. That’s the reason I hadn’t tried out mini braids for years, because I knew my hair was low density/fine. But turns out I love them. You could add hair to yours to give it a fuller look.
