How to Make Caprese Salad Bites
Ingredients:
1 cup balsamic vinegar
2 cups bocconcini cheese, chopped into bite-sized pieces
2 cups cherry tomatoes
1 cup fresh basil
½ tsp salt, or to taste
½ tsp ground black pepper
A bunch of toothpicks
Making mini caprese salad:
In a saucepan, add balsamic vinegar and cook over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes, till it thickens and reduces to half
Assemble mini caprese salad:
Stick a piece of bocconcini on a toothpick, add a basil leaf, cherry tomato. Repeat and prepare all the toothpicks. Layer the mini caprese salad bites on a plate, season with salt and pepper, drizzle balsamic vinegar on top and serve.
