Thank you cdmacman, you are right, yours is the only video on how the get access to those rear speakers. Planing on doing an upgrade to the sound system in my cooper so your video has definitely saved me some $$$ for sure as I can now replace the rear speakers myself. Also I must say, watching your tutorial (part 1 & 2) was a joy due to your wonderful charisma, you should do more of these. Thank you and Peace.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. You can use all data and read how to do it, look at pictures, but nothing beats watching the actual removal being done.

Man, BMW/Mini should have their cajones in a vise for building a speaker cover that way. Thanks for taking time to do this one-handed to show us. My sons 06 just got a new infinity set in the front doors, now looking to clear up all that noise from the rear. Good deal on those Fosgates. Well worth the effort in my opinion, gotta have good sound.

I need up taking the entire rear end appart as I wanted to start a lay out for my amp and sub upgrade and I also put some dynomat style sound deadening inside the 6 x 9 cutouts.. your guide was very helpful ...BTW those stupid little metal clamps on the rear trim kept getting stuck on the body of the car what a pita to take them each off.

What helpful well executed tutorial, big thanks for taking the time to help others. I think you might have a future in vlogging, you have a natural and entertaining style. Thanks again, I'll tackle my mini on the weekend!

Great video. and to the guy complaining about the camera work, Suck it. Just one question, What year is your Mini ? I have seen another video of a 2004 mini, and the whole panel was one piece, and you did not have to remove the seat belt/airbag covers. Just trying to figure out at which year they changed the panel to two pieces.

Thank you so much for posting this! From what I was reading on the forums I didn't think I would attempt this. But seeing this makes it seem much more achievable. Were you happy with the difference? I want just a little bit more bass without peaking out my speakers.

sounds a lot better, you can handle it!!!

When you have that back panel off were you able to see the ends of the shock mount bolts? I broke the head off one of the bolts and want to know if I can access the other end from inside car.

If the mini Cooper have an amplifier why put two way speakers the rear speakers play a low bass you wouldn't hear the highs.
