Fitted mine 2 days ago and they're squealing like mad, is this normal until the wear in coating wears off?

this is form their official site... driving 300 miles lol.... that guy is drunk... EBC Yellowstuff Bed-in Procedure Fast Street use Pre Bed Fade 1 - drive 50 to 100 miles on Public road/highway normal driving to allow the pads to mate up to the disc and establish full contact followed by 8 stops from 80 mph to 30 mph at 300 yard intervals and then coasting allowing the brakes to cool. If using Yellowstuff on the track …. FADE 2 - After the basic street pre bed above performed on the road or at the track if installed there …..Perform 10 medium pressure snubs at the track from 80-20mph leaving 300 meters between each snub (approx 0.4g decel) Allow pads to cool for 15 minutes minimum after coasting to the pits allowing brakes to cool a little. FADE 3 - Perform 6 high-pressure snubs from 90-20mph with a maximum acceleration between consecutive snubs. (approx 0.8g decel, or 80% of an emergency stop) Allow the brakes to fully cool for a minimum of 1 hour before the race session.

Hey so I just purchased ebc green stuff and ebc rotors. Been driving over 1000 miles now and still having a loud squeaking. Is that due to not bedding and will bedding fix this issue? Thanks in advance!

🤔 I just installed the same . But I purchased the cross drilled slotted rotors and I don't have any noise whatsoever. As far as bedding, would it help" ...it won't hurt. But what I would do is take the rotors off and take a wire brush to them . Front and back. And sand the pads a little. To take tye glaze off. And try to seat them and hope that works for best for you

hi I would like to install yellow pads also on my jcw with the groove and drill brake discs my question is do these pads brake well when they are cold?
@ProjectMini
@ProjectMini 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you don’t need to warm them up at all. That was my concern as well living in the mountains with all the deer

I completely skip the 200 miles and what not. I do 8-10 hard braking from 60/70 or until I start fading, then drive around for a while. Never have had issues and I DD and track my car. The pink is to just remove old pad material, which works regardless if you drive easy for a couple hundred miles, or just do the hard braking.

I put The EBC yellow stuff brake kits on all 4 wheels on my 2019 jaguar xe s awd. I haven't done the brake bedding yet but the brakes have at least 200 miles on them the fronts have a little more than the rears. The rears are squealing real bad, like a trash truck. I did some heavier braking and it did quiet them down, but after they cool, the squeal comes back. I will try this bedding technique and see if that helps.

Have you tried to do what is shown in the video? I also put EBC yellow stuff pads and EBC brake discs on my Jaguar XE and they squeak disgustingly when heated. I have already driven about 3000 km.

I've done 8 hard braking from 100 km/h to 20 and my yellow pads are still squealing when I stop. I'm upset about it.

Bought a set of EBC YellowStuff brake pads for my Megane RS Trophy-R (big Brembo calipers and bi material braking discs), I hope it will ok. I will install the EBC pads at the end of winter as the Megane is not a daily driven car, it's in the garage under a cover for winter ! ;-)
