Maintain: How to Change your Brake Pads on a Mini Cooper with JCW brakes

We had a brake light come on, which was triggered by the wear sensor on the rear brakes. So we decided to change the brake pads all around to EBC yellow brake pads with the help of my friend Zachary. These pads are great for more aggressive street driving and have better performance than stock pads.

We changed the brakes recently, so it will probably be a while before we have to bleed the brakes again on this car, but we may need to do it on another car...;)

I think with the yellow stuff you will have less dust covering your calipers and wheels.

Are the EBC yellow pads noisy?

Thanks for your comment. They aren’t noisy at all. Minimally compared to stock pads.
