I just use the readout from the VFD I use to power the motor and created a chart to indicate the true rpm of the spindle as opposed to the percentage of the wave form on the VFD........your setup with the sensor on the draw bar will make it difficult to fit a power draw bar later and if you haven't got to fitting one you will like it when you do.

The little socket behind the front control box is where you hook up the tacho and it has the power supply. Unless yours is not booked up.

You need to upgrade to a belt drive.

@@myharris The main benefit is sanity. The belt drive is so much quieter than the factory gears. But also if the spindle "crashes" the belt drive just slips instead of destroying the gears.
