I did not get the hand pump because of the reviews that I saw. To fill the tank I use a SMACO/DiDEEP air compressor and it is super easy to use.

Primary tank, just for what I like to call Snorkeling +, mostly snorkeling then going down in short intervals to depths around 5 to no more than 10 meters

0.5 liter tank = between 3-5 minutes depending on depth and breathing rate

It can. I usually go just about 5 meters though. I will go down to 10 meters more with the 1, 2 or 3 liter tanks. Let me know if you want me to do a review on those.

I appreciate your concern, but I am a licensed scuba diver and am well aware of the risks. This is safe so long as you keep breathing and do not hold your breath on an ascent.
