Your channel keeps on being a prime example of how you don't need fancy tools or expensive materials to make something nice. Those can certainly help, just like you said about the new camera, but the cheapest paints and literal trash (as in random packaging materials) can go a long way in the hands of a skilled maker.
@MechanicalFiend Жыл бұрын
This makes me so happy to hear- if there is one thing I would like get across in the videos, it is this! Totally, having the right tools can help a lot, but in a lot of cases- it really isn't necessary to be able to make something cool. If you collect even just a little packaging from things you buy, you already have fantastic materials to be able to make a project. Thank you so much for saying that~

@MechanicalFiend Thank you for all you do and how detailed you are, I really appreciate your narration. I like how you make a lot of the details, parts, and decorations yourself out of easy to find items. Do you ever think about doing a full on miniature house/castle/idk with multiple rooms? I'm currently making my first 1:12 scale dollhouse, and it has been so fun, but so hard! mainly because I can't decide on the details yet😂 I'd love to see how you imagine the different rooms and furniture.

If someone gave you an empty box of cereal, some Elmer's glue, a ball of yarn, a half-used tube of Puffy Paint, and a twist tie, you'd make it into something magical. No doubt in my mind. It's wonderful to watch you paint and your color studies always end up looking so cool. I bet that it really does help you wrap your mind around the subject that you're building. The weathering that you did to the paper board and the foam looks so authentic! That Assembly Montage is so very, very good, to be honest, it's beautiful and relaxing. I love how you added the background elements (Clouds and stars) to your final shots! I'm also glad that Black Magic gave you a camera (I had a feeling that a camera would find its way to you), and I know that YOU of all people will take full advantage of all that camera has to offer. I stumbled upon your work cause it was on my google front page and Im so glad it did! This work is amazing! As a miniature painter myself, I totally understand the work it takes to put all that attention to detail... like your work with the rails and the sign?! Oh wow!!! *chefs kiss* 😘👌🏽 You definitely have a new subscriber in me! I hope you do other Miyazaki work cause it's just so good! Keep being awesome! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Well thank you so much for giving it a watch my friend, it is so appreciated! I think in miniatures, everything really does come down to the details- the more you put into every little piece, the more gets added to the full piece in the end. So glad you could enjoy it and thank you for all the super kind words! I have done 4 other Ghibli cookie tin videos besides this and there will absolutely be more in the future. Love working on them so much~

Both interesting and nice to see your skills developing. Seems like in a short time, but going back to check how old the first of your videos that i watched is... I was surprised. Not at your skills or how long it took for you to get there, but at... well, how time flies 🙂 Thumbs up!

I think most progress often happens so slow that we don't notice it while it's happening, then we look back and realize it seems like much happened in no time at all. Hopefully I can soon look back at this and see improvement as well! Thank you~

hey! I just wanted to say how much you inspired me in my miniature creations, when I saw your cookie tin video 2 years ago, it really stuck with me!! the idea of incorporating miniatures into a tin is just wow!! Then comes my senior year of high school, our art show came along and that's when I wanted to create miniature in a tin! (first time building minis) I created a kitchen in a paw patrol tin lunchbox!! It was not easy (those corners in tins are so wack) and yeah I had Pinterest guides out and about, but your videos truly made me understand the process! Without your genius thinking resourcing scraps and trinkets, I would've made a lot more expensive purchases lol Thank you :) You are amazing 👍 P.S Sorry for the confusing writing/mistakes, still can't english even though i just graduated 😭
@MechanicalFiend Жыл бұрын
Hey! Apologies for taking forever to respond, but oh my goodness this makes me so so happy to hear! Totally, working in the tins can be a challenge depending on the shape- getting everything to fit snugly is not always the easiest. That's so awesome that you built one though and I'm so glad the videos could be at least a little helpful along the way. Hope you continue making pieces if it's something you are enjoying doing and thank you so much for sharing with me~
