I really hope the rumoured psychic automata turns out to be true, because it'd be both a fun and thematic wing to K-Sons we haven't seen before that makes sense for them to pursue, and you can put it in Primaris scale without any issues so when the range is updated you won't need to worry about it. Could even do a psychic dread while they're at it, just some nice non-infantry units to tide us over till a Primaris-scale update (hopefully with some fun new models as well like disc rubrics/scarabs or something).

Yeah and we never actually got anything remotely resembling a full range and the way this edition works ruined our consolation fantasy bc now none of our sorcerers are special or customizable anymore but it would be cool if we could use daemons to expand our options: but GW cbf balancing literally 2 problematic datasheets and decided to wholesale butcher the entire concept of allied daemons with battleline tax I stg if the daemons don’t get rolled into our codex to make that awful new index detachment make sense I’m gonna fall to Khorne IRL (I am heavily considering selling my entire Ksons army and just playing Emps children instead tbh. They’ve slowly ruined everything that made this army feel special to play and I have almost no faith in them being able to undo it with the codex)

I honestly wouldn’t mind it if we had our 9th edition codex back. My only problem with 10th and our range is the rules so heavily limit our choices in order to play the game. Here are two infantry units, and a bunch of heroes. Maybe a vortex beast. I really liked the variety I could come up with in 9th, especially in character customization with spells. I don’t need a massive range to be happy. I just need to be able to use all of it without being punished

I think Thousand Sons really lock in the lowest possible bar for the Emperor's Children release, as that range I've specifically gone out of my way to avoid due to its small size, but people still like it a lot, so if they can't Summon at least as many kits as their Tzeenchian cousins, I'm gonna be a little worried over this whole God specific Legion thing.

I'm actually inclined to think that the Old World guy on the yellow background is an Amber Wizard. They often have horned head-dresses and wear fur and feathers, and the yellow background would seem to be another clue. Sadly in the very brief video clip they didn't show it in profile so we can't see if he has a snout!

Whether the codex is included in the box or not tends to depend on how many new minis are included. When there's a lot of them, the discount is lowered by throwing a very high margin codex. When there's only 1 or 2 new minis, it's a battleforce that offers a better discount

I'm pretty much sure EC initial range will be rather sad in terms of model numbers. Dreadnoughts or Deamon Engines? I wouldn't count on that. I think the faction will be super barebones at start, but deamonic allies will help a lot to fill the ranks if GW decides to put them into corresponding monogod factions. Question is - how much they will fill the World Eaters ranks in this edition? Only one model, or several?

Agree a lot hinges on how much World Eaters get. Thousand Sons barely got a second wave beyond their initial release. Only Death Guard have a reasonably complete range. My hope is they plan to flesh all four out to the extent that they did Death Guard, but we haven't yet seen evidence of that. Agree that merging daemons into these books to flesh out the ranges *might* be a good thing - but I think it would be bad if they use that as a reason not to flesh out the actual chaos marine parts of the monogod legions.

It depends really on how they handle Chaos Daemons. Even if they don't split them if there are any combined CSM Daemon detachments in the Cult Legion codices; that's alot of additional units.

If we’re following the pattern it’s Half assed attempt at a refresh with nowhere near enough models (ksons) Overcompensating for the last release and getting wayyy too many models (deathguard) Half assed attempt at a refresh with nowhere near enough models(world eaters) So logically we’ll get twice as much as expected😂

If you’re willing to do this, I would request that you include some sort of tag or cue before talking about leaked models. I’m someone who really tries to avoid leaks, as they spoil the fun of the reveals and speculation for me. Just some kind of “leaked model discussion coming up, skip to XX:XX if you want to avoid it” would be much appreciated! The timestamps help with how far to go, so I am very glad for those inclusions at least. But thank you again for your great insight and knowledge as always!

Doubtful. They seem hellbent on dividing AdMech between the tech thralls and Cybernetica cohorts in Heresy, and the Skitarii in 40k. AdMech are die hard fans of their faction. Worst of it is that they’d make a bunch more money making the 2 cross compatible between systems. the alert does not work, it never has, you need to check regularly for it to be restocked. It comes back into stock very sporadically and sells out within a day.

Heck make some dummy accounts and go press it everyday too. That lets the warehouse think that the model is in high demand by a lot of people so they bump it up in the production schedule.

I'd almost guarantee that Fulgrim will get a Christmas battleforce box this year. I don't really have any plans to start an EC army, but based on Fulgrim and that Lucius silhouette, the models are looking sweet. I'll probably knock out some of my projects and pick up those TSons mechs to hold me over. If I change my mind on the EC, I'll have a nice Christmas treat this year
