That is a superb example. An absolute beauty! The timing seems to be as near to perfect as can be achieved, and one of your sons is a Liverpool supporter. What more can a man wish for?

I see you have an emergency alternate form of transportation motorcycle😂 Why the burning fireblock in the smokebox?

Why the firelighter in the smokebox at the beginning??
@MrStationHouse9 жыл бұрын
It helps draw the fire by creating an updraft

Lovely video no need for an electric fan & all that noise just a chimney extension & patience.. Why rush the fire..

By lighting the fire up in the in the air and then moving the shovel towards the hole, you increased the risk of the young man burning his arm. A good of friend of mine has seen many incident occur due to this. Ideally you want to light it with long matches near the door so there is less movement, even if it is a miniature

@@MrStationHouse imho a 12-24 volt fan on top of the smoke stack will produce a better draught. It seems more and more miniature steam enthusiasts are going down the route these days. I've seen many struggle to raise a good fire with just an extension.
