The French toast dish is actually a bread pudding, I never thought of serving it for breakfast but...YUM! Also I have never thought to use cream cheese in oatmeal, can't wait to try it! These recipes are all ones that I don't make very often because of the time, labor and CLEAN UP, but done in the crock pot all three are pretty much non existent-thank you!!

Gosh Jill....it never crossed my mind that there were crock pot breakfast menus! And better yet to have them for dinner too! Ingenious! Like that you threw in the minor detail of the crust from Walmart which was very important for us! Stop...your enthusiasm is catchy!..ha Makes me want to rush out & purchase the contents! Fr toast double yum! And u included cinnamon which is an extremely healthy condiment! Appreciate your sharing that healthy device to distribute oil! You did another excellent job Jill in explaining, sharing hints and executing the final creation....thank you! Would like to see more of these videos! One question: Are there crock pot recipes for appetizers or snacks?

I do a Fruit Flavored Crockpot Casserole. This is my recipe 1 loaf cubed French bread 8 eggs 3 cups milk, half and half or cream 1/2 cup sugar 2 tsp vanilla That's the basic french toast. Delicious I dnk what happened to the fruit portion. To the recipe above you can add any of these variations 3 peeled and diced apples and 1 tsp cinnamon 3 peeled and diced peaches and 1 tsp cinnamon or 1 10 oz bag of frozen sliced peaches 3 peeled and diced pears and 1/2 cup dried cranberries 1 10 oz bag of frozen blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, mixed berries or pitted cherries. Every variation is delicious and changes up your French toast so it's like a different breakfast daily. This us great leftover. It reheats well in the microwave. I cook it 5 to 6 hours on low or 2.5 to 3 on high in my 7 quart crockpot.

Hi Jill everything looks delicious. Just a little Tibet.if and when the pie crusts breaks up again, roll it into a ball and flatten it and roll it out. with a rolling pin. Make sure you put a little bit of flour on the counter and some on your rolling pin so it doesn’t stick. Stay safe and stay well.god bless you and your family .

You can also make this casserole with quartered cinnamon rolls that come from the refrigerated section Poppin fresh you know. It takes two cans and it's delicious delicious!
@diamondhair114 жыл бұрын
Anytime you use any rolled crust from the refrigerated section, you have to take it out of the packaging, put it on a paper towel or plate the way it is, (rolled up), let it thaw for 20-30 minutes. If you read the box, this is what it says to do. Try doing homemade though, it is really easy, and tastes so much better.

I’m sure you could make it, cut a few portions for you to eat and then freeze the rest in individual slices, so when you want it, you can just get it, let it defrost, microwave it or fry it up in a pan real quick with some butter!! 💗

I don't like crust so if I were to make a quiche in the oven it would be crustless and it would be the same in the slow cooker.

Add a bag of hash browns or O'Brien potatoes the next time you make this sausage and egg casserole. It's delicious! Sorry for all of the comments but I'm listening on my mobile phone due to my neighbor being in a hole! I can only post one at a time and every time I dictate to the phone it turns you off it doesn't sound good! ;-)
@sharongypsydove60804 жыл бұрын
It definitely looks like your crusts were cold put of fridge, it's happened to me..😫.You have to allow the pie crust warm up to Room temperature and then they work perfectly.... I make the steel cut only one with blueberries and bananas and strawberries bananas And raspberries and blueberries so good.. I also found that my big bread loaf Pan 9 × 5 sits in the slow cooker like a charm

To whoever is reading this Jesus loves you and he’s coming soon. All you need to do to be saved is believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins was buried and came back to life on the 3d day. Confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and you’ll be saved! I hope to see you in the clouds! God bless!

The entire country is not in quarantine in fact the only people in quarantine are people who are sick. Quarantine denotes that somebody has an illness that we need to protect them or protect us from. Just yesterday my city started discussing a shelter in place but the numbers of the local hospital are dropping so they have imposed a night-time curfew. I saw somebody else call it lockdown and lockdown only occurs in prison or jail. It makes me chuckle because people who don't know what they're talking about are the most vocal!

I do steel cut oats in 8 to 10 servings or more and my Crock-Pot runs so high that if we don't stop it in 2 hours it will start to Scorch to the bottom and the sides.

The quiche-1 1/3 cups cut down from 2 1/2? Would definitely affect the texture, believe me- I am a quiche expert after 40 years of serious cooking because it's my very favorite dish, I would cut it down by at least 1 egg.
@heavenlee19654 жыл бұрын

So, these look good, but, except for the oatmeal, how are any of them convenient for breakfast? You’d have to get up in the middle of the night to prepare them so that they would be ready for breakfast. I just don’t get it.

You needed to let the pie crusts sit at room temp longer. But you could still piece them back together.

Great that these kinds of meals can be done in a crock pot, but some of them are stupefyingly unhealthy. Any chance you could do vegan or low fat versions? Maybe using just a couple of eggs, and no meat or cheese? Also all of those processed and packaged ingredients are crazy expensive, so can you perhaps also do something which uses only raw fresh ingredients?
