Yeah, great looking gear. How often do you use the strips? Do you find them useful?

Not using them at all, I wish they had an FX section or something similar there instead lol I only use it to increase or decrease the arp octave

Lush mate. I nearly bought the sh01a but thinking about going for the compact S1 instead now. What stand is it you’re using for your Maschine please buddy? Cheers

Thanks! the S1 looks and sounds cool as well! Do you mean the stand for the Roland TR8s in this video? It is a simple laptop stand I got from Amazon a while ago, nothing special. If you mean for the SH-01A, than it is not a stand, it is the K-25M keyboard for it: www.roland.com/us/products/k-25m/

@@RandomNoiseMusic nah there’s a stand that you have your Maschine on and it’s at a nice angle. I know you didn’t have Maschine running in this vid but I’d just watched an older one of yours where your Maschine was at an ideal angle. Think it was grey/silver colour but not sure.

Your Maschine & tr8s techno stuff is wicked mate. I’ve had Maschine for a while. I have the MIDI out of Maschine going to MIDI in on the MX1. That way my hardware is all in sync with Maschine. Unfortunately I’ve not been using my Maschine much as I like to not need use of the computer at all so just been jamming Dawless recently. Currently I’m running tr8s, tb3, Monologue and JU06A. The Roland gear goes to the mx1s usb ports for audio, MIDI and sync which is ideal, and the monologue goes to one of the normal Jack input channels. Occasionally I’ll run my bass guitar via preamp pedal into another Jack input channel. I have 1 spare usb channel still, so have been eying up the SH01a, but now that this compact S1 has come out, I think that’s guna be the one I go for instead. I sub to loads of Dawless/hardware/music tech guys so your channel is one I’m always coming back to. I know it’s mostly Gear Acquisition Syndrome, but I think that after the S1, I’m considering selling my Maschine mk3 and getting the Maschine plus because I love Maschine workflow but needing the use of the computer is making me not use it as much as I should. Maschine plus is really expensive though so I’m looking into what could be a sequencer/sampler / main hub in place of the mk3. MPC ONE or Digitakt have both been potential options, but I just dunno if it’s a mistake as I know I like the Maschine workflow already, so the plus is probably the best option. I just worry that I’ll be missing out on potential of learning MPC workflow. Sorry to go on so much but it’s fun to talk music stuff and none of my mates are producers at all so KZbin comments section is my sanctuary. It’s annoying coz the choice I make has such a difference on that jams I’ll produce, so getting it right is vital. I really would love to get the MPC one on the go, but I think starting from scratch is probably a bad idea, so I’ll end up spending the £800 or so on the Plus. (Guarantee a mk2 will come out not long after knowing my luck) Sorry if this comment is too long for you to be reading, I’m just geeking out a bit thinking of this constant search for the next bit of gear! Cheers buddy and looking forward to hearing more of your stuff soon. Happy jammin.

Oh its the same laptop stand I am using for both, unless you mean my most recent one I got for my gears: the On-Stage KS7903 A stand

Thanks! Your setup sounds like a lot of fun and you have some really cool toys, TB-3 is on my list 😄 I would definitely do more research on the Maschine Plus as I've seen a lot of comments suggesting that maybe waiting for the next generation will be a better idea than getting the first one. Also the future of Native Instruments is kind of confusing right now, it seems like they focus more on sound libraries and sample players, so who knows when the next version will come, and how much more update will they release for Maschine. Even the MK3 need so much more love from them, it could have been the perfect gear in my opinion if they released more significant updates. I heard and seen great feedback on the MPC One, and even considered having one myself, but for now I still stick to an hybrid combination of DAW + hardware. Maybe in the future, who knows 😄 thanks again and happy jamming!! 🤘
