❤ Thanks for answering! You do come across very authentic. It is blatantly obvious some creators are super fake. I feel like it is chatting with a friend with your videos.

Hashing a room, is the transformational key for me. When I go to put things back I can feel my energy change and if it's not calm and peaceful, I don't want it around anymore. It makes it easy. I have saved so much money by reducing decor inventory. I think I was always changing things looking for that comfortable feeling when just removing things didi it.

Awesome video, as always! Love the Q & A! I liked your response to what you said about it’s always surprising when someone has something negative to say. I’ve always reminded myself that it could be raining gold, but someone somewhere would complain about it’s the wrong shade, shape, or size. We can’t please everyone, but I wish others would realize if they have nothing nice to say, then keep quiet- it’s called respect & kindness ☺️Keep being you! ❤

Yes! I have never gone online and said something hateful just to be hateful and so I never understand why people feel the need.. But we all have had different experiences in life so I just keep moving and being positive. It has amazed me though how many genuinely kind and helpful people are out there! That has been such a blessing ❤️❤️

♥ The question about becoming minimal in other areas of your life was interesting because I found we simplified what foods we bought. Then again, we're not getting any younger and had to start cutting down on sugar and foods that don't agree with us and/or cause inflammation.

💜 appreciated this down to earth chat... enjoyed watching as i took a break to put my feet up while the littles nap... i am currently in a season of overwhelm but we are doing the best we can 💜 we are trying to get moved into our new house (under renovation) before baby is due (this coming week we are 37 weeks)... definitely asking myself with every item we move in if it brings joy or peaceful emotions... otherwise trying to let it go! I find your content very calming, encouraging, and inspiring! Ive been offered so much decor items from family but im learning to say no thank you and explain that we are still under renovation and i am not ready to add more at this time (*junk*)... Ive also have been trying to intentionally organize as we bring things in... little by little as i unpack rather than just unload chaos... just thank you for sharing, being real and honest with where you are at... we used to have a yt channel but the hate i received for life choices was stressful... and when people started to threaten our children and put them in danger, we shut it down... working now to reset and rebuild our own peaceful safe haven 💜 thanks for being real unlike so many others in the yt world who are all about the income and views!

You have helped me make some radical changes that has resulted in me feeling such peace and freedom through minimalism. I have been struggling with impulse spending on Amazon as I navigate the grief process of losing an aging parent. I have focused on watching your videos to help me get back on track. Thank you for what you are doing. I live in Williamsburg VA and think of you whenever we visit Richmond.

Thank you for saying you had to get off Pinterest. I feel that way with some KZbinrs. They seem to be rich and have high end homes. I choose to live on one income to be home with my family. We don't have alot of extra. I am always looking for tips to live simply and contentedly❤

It definitely helped me! When I quit my teaching job 2 years ago we have been living on a lot less, but it has been such a blessing to be able to have a job I really enjoy and be able to go to anything I want with my daughter 💕💕💕

I’m interested in trying intermittent fasting again now that you’ve mentioned a link with your ADHD. I did it very successfully 10 years ago so I think I could do it again. I suspect I have mild ADHD but getting diagnosed in the UK would take 2-3 years (😮) so at age 64 I’m trying to find my own solutions. You mentioned brain fog and forgetfulness, these are both big things for me so I may follow your lead with fasting. Caveat: you made very clear that you’re talking from your own experience, so I may find it’s no help for me but worth trying. Thankyou 😊

I also had to quit pinterest (and instagram) because the load of "inspiration" you get from those platforms are overwhelming and always made me want to change things around, and that also made me tired. I mean, I "could" decorate my home in many different ways and it would all be nice. But, that would mean a constant change, and never being satisfied. I had to realize that I needed to decorate my home in 1 way, and maybe just do small changes overtime. Even all of these seasonal changes some people do are (beautiful) but makes me tired. So I have very fem seasonal decorations things, maybe flowers, or 1-3 pieces.

Not minimalism related, but I wonder if you'd feel comfortable doing a walking tour of some of your favorite downtown Richmond, VA places? I've never been and would find it interesting! Thanks in advance for even considering it! Amenities that take advantage of river views, museums, libraries, galleries, favorite coffee shops or restaurants, etc.

I don’t know if it would work but maybe assigning a special place outside for the rock, stick, leaf collection might keep that stuff outside.

That's how we have done with our kids "treasures" som the nature: my son have always collected sticks, even though he's now 11 he still brings home sticks. The have a special places in our garden, from time to time he "declutters" that place and only keep the "special" sticks. Rocks and seashells also lives outside in our garden, except a few rocks that my kids thinks look like flint (?) rocks.

To the lady who had the question about should she declutter the sweater that she loves because it's old well if she still loves it and it feels good in it it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or how many times they've seen it. To go through life basing what we do on others opinions is unhealthy
@MsPants16326 сағат бұрын
And also, if she feels funny about wearing it so much, then just wear it at home when you plan on just staying in .. no reason to get rid of it if you really love it!!
